Still available...this doesn't bode well for the line, me thinks...
I don't think it's quite doom and gloom time yet, it's only been available for a few hours.

I agree with the Darklord. Of course, the "limited" number is hardly that. Poor Sideshow just can't win, either too many or too few...

That said, I do hope the line picks up speed with future issues. (If not, here's hoping they'll hustle out Legolas, Boromir and Gandalf before they pull the proverbial plug).

Before the Star Wars line it was unheard of for a 1/6 figure to sell out in less than a day, now if it doesn't sell out in an hour it's a failure. This line isn't going to be like the Star Wars line, that's an entirely different animal.

I think LotR will do fine also. The Star Wars stuff is absurdly popular and I don't think you can compare anything else in 1/6th or other toy lines to it.
And I'm very glad that SSC decided to offer as large an exclusive edition as they did. Made it a great deal easier to order and so many of us who buy figures direct from the sight only order exclusives. It's good for SSC and for us. I think this was about as good as it can get for collectors.
I remember a time not so long ago that selling out an edition of 1750 in less than a day would have been viewed as an unbelievable success and reason to rejoice at the strength of the product line. Forget about Star Wars and it still is. And I can't help but think if the figures are as nice as they look LotR will get even more popular with the polystone and statue crowd purchasing 1/6th as well. I think SSC is going to do great.
