I find myself wanting to get two and I'm really not that big of a fan. The biggest reason I want Captain America is because I like the whole patriotic soldier who fought the Nazi's type guy. Which is what makes the decision between WWII and the modern one so difficult. Assuming of course it is the WWII. It seems like that may be alot of work though.

I'd love to see an Earth X Cap based on Alex Ross's work. I've got the statue released by Marvel and it's great, but a Premium Format would be unbelievable.

FYI, The upper torso area of Cap's uniform is made of scale mail/armour, chain mail consists of interlocking rings.

Seems like that would be an awful lot of work. Two completely different pieces if this is true!

What Cap is that on the left? A lot of the costume looks like WW2 but it's not because he's wearing a kevlar helmet which wasn't used until 1980 or so.

The one on the left if memory serves right is the Ultimate Cap from Ultimates Vol.1 issue #1. It's a flashback scene of his days in the war. The one on the right is the regular Ultimate Cap.

Regarding the chainmail, you are right. Technically it is scale armor. I would prefer a more "realistic" texture that uses the premium format mixed media better.

Don't worry Hairless, I don't think it gave one, presumably it will be on Thursday evening since it didn't say anything about it being a PPO.
