I'm digging this Cap....the details on it are rock solid. However, I don't have as much of an urge to buy because I too have the original. It'll be a tough decision once the PO is available.

I have the original as well, but this one is leaps and bounds over the old. I wish the original had the detailing of this one... if only we could merge them some how...

Detail is head and shoulders above on this one compared to the original. But not a iconic.

After seeing all the pics (and this is only day 1 mind you) of the SS booth I'm worried about having to make these tough decisions because SS decided to release them too close together. Let's hope this doesn't happen.

That's my only worry but I think we should be safe. It's not like all of these will go up for PO & released at once. Think back from last years CC. Marvel & DC wise they had Deadpool (still not out) Hawkeye shipped a few months back, Scarlet Witch a month or so ago & Vision which has only started shipping, same with Green Lantern. Posion Ivy about a month ago & were still waiting on Batman & Supes. I'm expecting a high ES for CA like similar to the Superman PF so I doubt we will have him this time next year. So we should have plenty of time to save up

This looks FN full of Win. Will be getting. I don't have the original. Just the movie version which is an underrated gem. But may have to sell it. Can't have too many of the same character. Unless it's Hulk or Spidey.

Good point...with all the delays they've had I would bet I'd have more time to save before it actually gets released.

Also is it me or is the base similar in style to the BIB/Iron Spidey comiquette? The columns on the base look similar.
You can kind of create a civil war scene with this and the iron spidey I think.

Cap wore this costume during Civil War and I think the new PF is supposed to be from the WWII era.

The new Cap looks really good. I like the classic (costume) version more but the sculpt and the threads were done very well. I don't mind the Thompson so much and as it's period it works. While he's not huge muscular wise he's hardly small, a guy like that would dwarf most people. This paired with the new Red Skull will make a really nice display. I almost want to get both.
