Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Shame about no news of new Hulk film :( this sounds good tho, and Ant-Man got me really excited. Bring on the best Avengers villain of all-time imo.... Ultron to tear the Avengers apart after he re-builds and re-programs himself after Ant-Man stops him in his film.

I'm hoping a stand alone Hulk film still gets made. 3rd time a charm I hope?

Re: Captain America 2

Very disappointing. A bad idea that is made worse by having it happen WAY too soon. Oh well.
I'm a bit disappointed, as well. Well written story in the comics, but disappointing they are just skipping by so many classic Cap storylines or even something new in lieu of something like this. But I guess they want to do something newer comic fans know something of, and to pull in a reasonably popular new character in the process.

Also disappointing in that they won't hold off on this due to the fact that the Bucky returning thing really has that impact on Cap because it took so long to happen. It is conceivable that this could occur within a year of Cap being unfrozen.

You do remember he's been a sleep for 70 years and hasn't seen him in that time. So it's not like he just saw him.

Would you have prefered they do Nomad first? :lol

In all fairness, to Cap, yes, it is. :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Yes, but the 70 years will factor in and it will be something that impacts him.

Again, no. As of the end of Avengers, he's been awake for what, a week? At most, it's probably no longer than a month. So the events at the end of TFA won't seem distant to him at all. I actually think that'll make for a better emotional reaction though, and play up the drama of him discovering who Winter Soldier is.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Well, like I said its been 70 years and that what will affect cap. That will actually play a big deal for him in the fact to him it's only been a year.

Well, in all fairness for them to sell the Winter Soldier, to WS, it's gotta be the same too. :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I wonder if they will keep the actor that played Bucky, or replace him with someone more recognizable?

I could have sworn that they made reference to Avengers taking place a year after he woke up and during that year he laid low and trained and got himself up to speed as much he could over major world events of the last seven decades.

Was that not the case?

To WS it would potentially be a non-issue if he was sufficiently brainwashed to lose his conscious memories of working with Cap.

I thought the guy was pretty forgettable in that role. Wouldn't bother me much if they did an about face. He would probably be fine if they didn't change it, though.
