Re: Captain America 2

Just googled it. Ugh... Sounds like an awful idea IMO.

Takes the emotional impact of losing Bucky away. Then we have to accept he survived the fall... And also got preserved despite not having the regenerative ability of Cap? And he's the new 21st century villain??? Sigh...

They'll have to be careful with it to keep it somewhat "believable," but it's no less fantastical than other aspects of the Marvel Universe we've already seen on film. :lol

Re: Captain America 2

I think the winter soldier storyline is a bit too soon in terms of films timeline.

I mean, he dies in the first film and comes back to life in the second?

Thats a bit fast imo

Re: Captain America 2

There was barely had any emotional weight to his death anyway. :lol

Everyone knew he was coming back. Even non comic fans. Because comic fans told them

Re: Captain America 2

But the fact that there is a character called "The Winter Soldier still gives some ambiguity.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: AND THE WINTER SOLDIER.

Sounds cooler.

THOR: AND THE DARK WORLD

The Winter Soldier Rises would suffice.

and in this case, this should not be a capt. america movie. lolz

Well, there is this:

Arnim Zola had Bucky and could have easily been experimenting on him in any number of ways. This will be a great story. It could have Cap having to fight a brainwashed Bucky, hopefully bringing him around to fight the true villain of the story. I would really like to see Cap involved in some international espionage.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I didn't go into the Captain America movie with very much knowledge about the characters and their history in the comics, but I kind of assumed when I first saw it that:

Bucky was being experimented on by Hydra. It seemed kind of obvious, but then they never really did anything with the idea. It doesn't surprise me to hear what the basic idea is, and I actually think it would be cool for Captain America to reunite with a friend from the old days, assuming that all the brainwashing (or whatever) can be worked out. Having a WWII era friend by his side would be really nice to see in a modern era film.

I don't know why you put that in spoilers. :lol And we saw Bucky fall which will likely have cost him an arm. _But did you see him splat in some mysterious deleted scene that doesn't exist?

That is a theory they might run with. The writing's gonna have to be ingenious for it to work though.

:exactly:

It will be a pretty good emotional moment for Cap.

Didn't like the comic iteration of WS, but I like what Biojex said this could be a great plot for the movie with a big emotional payoff if they make some adjustments.
