Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I just saw it.
Loved it, but strange in some point. The vibe is completely different from the other marvel films. I need to see it again, but the film is just great. They finally give us an excellent interpretation of what Captain America means to all of us who read the character. With the first avenger and the winter soldier I must say the hit the jackpot for a great character like Steve. A great bet from MS, and maybe a lot of people will dislike it, but if you can put yourself in the tone of the movie, you will enjoy a great character development, incredible action and a plot that lives to the hype and change everything you know about shield in the cinematic universe, and also some important characters.

Really, an EXCELLENT film. "I'm with you to the end of the line!" :')

pd: Thanks Whedon for the GREAT GREAT GREAT first after credit scene. JUST LOVE IT.

I definitely get the impression from the trailers that it's going to be quite different to Marvel Studios' previous productions. Good to hear that it rocked and you enjoyed it!

Got my tickets booked for 8:15pm tonight :yess:

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Got back about half hour ago

I absolutely loved that and will be going back. Definitely worth another watch

Keep and ear and eye out for easter eggs

Dr Strange gets a mention!

This is how a Marvel movie should be. Part of a larger universe but able be a stand alone film without feeling like an advertisement for the next big thing

This accomplishes that very convincingly in that you aren't scratching your head wondering why he doesn't just give the Avengers a call to sort it all out

A very solid and satisfying film.

I've read some reviews that said it was confusing at times. I really can't see how.

Man it was good.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I am excited for this film. TFA is my favorite of the Marvel films. It didn't feel like a 2 hr commercial for Avengers. If this film keeps to that, then I am even more excited.

Without spoilers can one of you that has seen it tell me how big Falcon is in the film. Is it just another Rhodey(basically useless) or does he actually get to be a cool character?

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Call this a dumb question but how are people already seeing this movie?

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I also liked how they adapted Crossbones, it was smart and funny (elevator scene is the best) :lol

The movie is released in England on March 26 (today)

I'm going tonight! Very much looking forward to it! Haven't been this excited for a movie since The Avengers.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I loooooved Falcon's look, but was worried that he'd be in it about as much as Igor was in IM3. Nope, he's a very integral part to the movie, and has some really awesome fight scenes. Loved him, Anthonie Mackee (sp?) was fantastic. I hope we get to see him again.

As far as how people are seeing it early, they are doing advanced screenings. They had a Facebook contest, and 10 cities got to see the movie on 3/20 (that's when I saw it). I think they do that to help build hype right before the movie comes out. With social media these days, it doesn't take much for word to spread about how good a movie like this is.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

To answer the question about Falcon; He's a cool character. Doesn't feel 'tacked on'

Thanks. That is good to hear. I like Anthony Mackie as an actor, and was hoping he would not be wasted, and that Falcon could be a great character. I want an awesome black character in a comic movie. And since Black Panther is probably going to never show up, and DC only has Jon Stewart(and thanks to that last GL film, that series may be toxic). So my hopes rest on Sam not being as lame as Rhodey. Glad to hear he gets some love.

I'm thinking that you're really gonna like how Falcon is handled in this film

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier
