Just got back. Easily my favorite Marvel film so far! Damn, Cap is so bad *** in this. I seriously hope Whedon doesn't dumb down his fighting skills in Avengers 2.

I thought it was great! Tons of little easter eggs and fun touches. Mackie was awesome as Falcon. Can't wait to see how this affects AoS.

MOTHER of god, that was good, I want to see this again!!!! Best marvel movie so far... Kind of down by AoU... Kind of wandering how it is going to fit all together. Did anyone expect any more cameos from the other avengers though? I was hoping stark, banner or even Thor or something.

I honestly love watching movies at the Alamo drafthouse, no better way than enjoying movies while eating a burger and drinking beer.

I was hooked from the first god damned scene. I loved every character and every scene. My new favorite Marvel film.

It fluctuates because ONE rotten score out of 100 is worth 1%. So a film with only 70 reviews will see the percentage shift up and down accordingly as new reviews come in. Eventually once the reviews number in the 100s the score because much less likely to deviate drastically. And an 8 of 10 is a great score. THis isn't school where critics will only rate on an A, B, C, D, F scale where everything less than 60 is a failure. There's 10 rungs on the ladder.

Ok. Yes now it's down back to 88% from 94% last week. I know Avengers is 92 and many say this is better. I know I will enjoy it anyway, along with all of you. What can I say, I'm a numbers/stats guy. Maybe it will go up after it's been out for a while.

Masterpiece? Well that escalated quickly ^^!
Its an ok, well produced, entertaining movie.
if you re a fan of the genre/Marvel fanboy chances are you'll probably find it great.
But its nowhere near to a masterpiece

I'm just saying masterpiece because in one of the commercials it was one of the statements by a critic.

hi is there TWO end credit scenes? i stuck around to see the first one but left after the pure text credit started to scroll, is there another scene after that?

Dang! Should stayed, everyone left after the first credit scene and I followed them

Every Marvel film now has 2 scenes, i mid credit and one post credit. Avengers and Thor: Dark World had 2 scenes each.

The little bit of fighting I saw in the commercials, elevator scene and against Winter Soldier, I was like Damn! hope he is as aggressive in AOU since he is truly the leader now. In Avengers the only fighting he did was on top of the car against a few Chitauri and when he got his butt kicked by Loki. Looks like Chris Evans got martial arts training for this. No CGI either.

I thought it was spectacular. Action packed, and every character had great defining moments. As I read the negatives in this thread I wonder what it would take to please some people but I think they may be forgetting its a comic book movie.

I guess I can stop wondering if Sitwell will take Coulsons place, and I guess the show will now be called "Former Agents of Shield"

Fantastic film. Hands down my favorite Marvel movie so far. In the top discussions of best comic book movies for sure. The fight scenes and hand to hand combat really elevated it. The brutality of the action was something not seen so far in the MCU and very refreshing.
Also the first time I've really enjoyed ScarJo in the black widow role. She elevated her game and had great chemistry with Evans. Even though I really enjoyed SPOILER Emily Thorne as another "Agent"
Bravo Marvel and Disney, now bring on GotG and Ultron.

Just got back, I'm struggling to decide whether I liked it better than Iron Man 1 or not. It's certainly in my top 2 from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Same. It was as good as Iron Man 1 for me. Better than the Avengers. Cannot wait for GotG and Avengers 2... the end credits scene with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver was dope.

Yea, this movie really reignited my interest in Marvel's grand plan. I hated their past 3 films.
