Agree with most of what you said except

Didn’t like The Leader. The character and his purpose didn’t seem particularly interesting (oooo mind control, that’s a new one) or thought through. And bringing back an uninteresting villain from Incredible Hulk. Wow. What creative decision making.

I was happy to see Carl Lumbley used so much. Love him as an actor and love the character of Isaiah but he seemed to lack the depth he had in the show. I guess that’s how big time movies work.
While I agree there was room for improvement with respect to how they used Sterns/The Leader, he was a victim in Incredible Hulk, not a villain. And in this movie we learn how Ross turned him into a villain by imprisoning him and further victimizing him for years. I actually found him quite interesting, just a bit undercooked...

True yes not a villain in IH.

I thought he was good in Patriot Games & Clear and Present Danger, even though I thought Alec Baldwin in Hunt For Red October was closer to the Jack Ryan in the Clancy books.
Definitely amnesia. As y'all are mentioning these films I'm suddenly remembering Ford's CV ... although I haven't actually seen a number of these flicks.

A whole bunch, he’s also terrific in Mosquito Coast, Shrinking, The Fugitive, Presumed Innocent, Working Girl, Frantic. I know he specialised in similar trying to prove himself innocent role for years (ie. Fugitive, PI and Frantic) but Mosquito Coast always stood out to me as an incredible performance and the only one where I really don’t see Ford at all I just see that deluded nutter.
I remember the trailers for Mosquito Coast but I wasn't at an age where I was going to go out of my way to watch it. I've seen Shrinking and think he's ... fine? He doesn't stand out to me but there's something about the way that show's constructed, can't put my finger on it. I do enjoy it but the whole thing feels ... I can hear the narrative machinery clanking and its distracting sometimes.

I thought the trailer for this movie was okay, but I'll wait for it to hit streaming before I watch it. Nothing I'm hearing sounds exciting.

Yeah the idea of Ross using and torturing this guy for his own purposes for years to help advance his career, and then having that turned against him, was really good I thought. But we never learned what exactly Sterns did for him, and nothing was explored beyond a very surface level. Plus the fact we have no connection to Ford's Ross and it's a struggle to even see him as the same guy.

I want Ruffalo gone.

New Banner please doesn’t have to be Norton but i’ll be ok if he returned, which won’t happen.

Leave Liv she’s great.

Bring back the Hulk design from TIH.

Time for a real Hulk.
Remember bavk in 2012 people loved that hulk. Now people want 08 hulk back. I always thought avengers hulk was trash. 08 hulk had long hair, glowing green eyes and didn’t walk like an ape.

No it’s the same guy… he just shaved… right..?

Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, did not take the Super Soldier Serum because he believes it would fundamentally change his identity and take him away from representing the "everyman" ideal of Captain America, choosing instead to embody the role with his own natural abilities and leadership qualities, rather than relying on enhanced powers like Steve Rogers did.

The mantle of Captain America is not a physical one, or even mental, but a MORAL one. And Sam has that moral compass where it counts, where it needs to point,

Key points about Sam's decision:
    • Maintaining his identity:
Sam sees taking the serum as a significant alteration to who he is, potentially losing the relatable aspect of being a normal person who steps up to become a hero.
    • The spirit of Captain America:
He believes that the true essence of Captain America lies in the character and values, not just the physical enhancements, allowing him to connect with people on a deeper level without the serum.
    • Actor's perspective:
Anthony Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson, has stated that he thinks it's important for Sam to not take the serum to maintain his unique role as Captain America.

Here we go 😆

I like the serum because it allows the audience to accept a hero absorbing damage without being labeled “rubber man”.

Narratively it makes zero sense and is highly irresponsible for him not taking it knowing about the threats he knows.

The shield is impossible to throw hard enough to be a weapon without the serum.

it's gonna sound weird but he should have taken the flower from wakanda. I know he's not royalty or anything but they could have worked something out. or given a little bit of it or something. ( since the suit he has is already from wakanda) or given a synthetic version of it or something.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m the biggest critic of derivative characters in the comic book world so adding another super soldier to the mix just diminishes Cap and Bucky.

Wilson doesn’t work as Cap no matter which way you go.
you won't rest until you watch this movie. you know you need to watch it.

I will eventually just not in the theater.

Only MCU movies I didn’t see in the theater are:

BW because of day 1 streaming

The Marvels because ewww

Now this.

35 MCU movies, 3 not in the cinema.
