It's possible that they have nano tech in the film....but I really doubt it. Visually it just doesn't have the impact. And even though the whole thing is fake, making it something in his blood is something most people will not buy into.

The collapse helmet is not that far away from things we have seen. Like say the mk5.

As for the nano comment in Aou...I don't think that was left open. The major plot of the film was stark creating something so he didn't need to ever wear the suit again. So I don't see how he would have been commenting on a future suit he may be working on. All the subtext was him trying to eliminate the suit, or the need for it anyway.

That's what I would be inclined to say as well with what he was referring to. Being that the premise of the film was him creating a "suit of armor around the world" so that way he doesn't have to wear his armor anymore.

However, being that it happened to take place during the scene when nano technology was being discussed, I can see it being a, albeit remarkably slight, possibility. With Marvel, you never know.

Like was mentioned, knowing that people may not buy into it being injected into his blood, perhaps MCU comes up with their own version of what is supposed to represent the Bleeding Edge armor. The technology is there. Cho essentially created an entire body using nano technology and after Vision was born, he was able to spontaneously create a cape to mimic Thor's.

It would definitely give literal meaning to, "I am Iron Man. The suit and I are one."

That's what I'm hoping for. I love the Bleeding Edge armor visually from a suit standpoint. I don't need to see it crawl out from under his skin to be happy with a MCU adapted representation of Bleeding Edge.

If they were to do the whole Bleeding Edge suit with the suit coming out of his skin and all that. I'm kinda imagining that the effect would almost be like the same one used to show Mystique changing into different forms except replace the blue and all that with a suit? I dunno, just a quick brainstorm of how the effect could possibly look.

It would need to show a micro shot of the blood vessel and then see the parts of the suit in it floating. Then follow it out through his body and then into a wider and wider shot with the suit forming. At least for the first time. But I just don't think it's something they would do. I know it was talked about on previous films. And the 42 was essentially the marvel adaptation of the suit. Without the nano tech as it was thought it just wouldn't work.

I mean just think about it. Does the suit have any weight to it? Becuase if it did that weight would then be carried internally. Lubrication? Any missiles? How does that not poison him? Or does he have to take anti rejection meds? It's fiction, I get that. But how a human body reacts and simple science isn't. Just to much to over come I think.

It could be done just as easily as the other suits, visually. Just not sure if it would sell to the audience the same. That's the main issue.

I agree, they have already shown with the Mk5, Mk7, Mk42/43 that he can get the parts of the suit to fold up onto itself to maKe or smaller. Be it the Mk5 briefcase, Mk7 "pod" or the individual parts of the Mk42 and 43 suits... I have never thought they would go down the nano route as like you say it asks too many questions for suspension of belief.

Really looking forward to seeing these. I passed on the TWS line. Gonna nab Bucky for sure here, probably Cap and Tony too. Hoping they finally, finally have a great 1/6 RDJ sculpt on par with the 1/4 scale one.

So I might be the only dude here saying this, but I'm more excited about Toy Soul announcements than I am the new Star Wars movie.

Y'know, I'd almost agree with you. I love Star Wars, but I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe a whole lot more, and I'm excited to see the Civil War lineup from Hot Toys this Friday maybe more than seeing Episode VII. It doesn't seem to make sense as I type this, but to me, somehow it's perfectly logical lol

[...]I love Star Wars, but I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe a whole lot more,[...]

I go back and forth. I think Marvel (strangely) is more relatable and grounded, it's using our mundane, contemporary world as a backdrop, at least. But some days, you can't beat a full-on Space Opera from the '70s.

It's crazy how much choice there is in media right now. I almost think I could get burned out on this stuff. For a while, anyway.

I love the whole Star Wars universe but I'm more emotionally attached to the MCU. And 99% of my collection is MCU-based, so maybe I'm biased :lol But hey, I'm just thrilled we're getting so much merch and movies from both franchises right now... enjoy the hype while it lasts!

I was a member of the 501st for several years until I had to sell my armors after a job loss. After being so connected with Star Wars and owning damn near everything with a Star Wars logo and getting rid of it has really just made me not care nearly as much as most folk are. I'm excited sure, but it's more of just another cool movie to me. As it is I'm getting way more excited over comic book films and what not.

Just when you think they are done with Star Wars, they make another film. I love the OT, but I don't feel the need to buy tons of collectibles. I have one Star Wars piece in my collection.

I just love the direction the Marvel movies have gone and incorporating the TV characters and storylines into the MCU. I think it's brilliant and keeps me coming back. Can't wait to see what is revealed on Friday. I'm in for any Caps, Black Panther and maybe Bucky.

So, will we get more, less or about the same number of figures from CW than AoU? Last time I checked it was 17 for AoU.

I figure it'll be pretty close assuming we get more than one look from Cap, IM and Spidey, let alone another Widow, Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Ant-Man and WM and possibly 2.0s of Wanda and Vision. Then throw in new characters like BP, Crossbones and Zemo.

I'll definitely be getting any Bucky figs they make and I bet I'll be sorely tempted by the Scarlet Witch upgrade. I already own 3 versions of Cap, so I think I'm set unless his suit is significantly different than the ones I already own. I'm kind of hoping it is so I can snag one :lol
But I still can't wait to see the new line! If only I had an unlimited budget...

I'm active in the 501st, star wars is my first memory, seeing it at 3years old in 1977, my life was all about star wars, comic books and KISS, star wars made me want to be a filmmaker, I'm back in University to do just that at my age, but I'm tired of the star wars over-exposure for the new film. I'm actually interested in getting the plain old First Order Stormtrooper 6th scale and probably Phasma for my wife, but I'm far much more in love with the MCU. I have more MCU 6th scales than Star Wars. I just have Fett, Vader and Commander Cody (anyone wanna trade Cody for AOU Cap?!?! o_O)I LOVE everything about it, I'm pulled in with every new release of movie or 6th scale, I'm counting the days until Civil War and The Infinity Wars 1&2. It's just something truly awe inspiring for me. The Avengers overtook my all time favourite movie from Empire Strikes back - a film that was my all time favourite since 1980, so we're talking decades. Then AOU overtook A1 as all time favourite movie!

I'm going for the most iconic look for each character to make my Avengers collection. I need a CW Cap that can take the place of AOU Cap I missed out on. I hope that they do a re-release of the AOU Cap with a CW label, but if not, the CW Cap suit isn't missing much except some of the detailing of some reds and whites which I do feel look better WITH it in AOU suit than without in CW suit. I really want the latest Iron Man armour (Mk45 I believe?) even though I have the Mark VII which I feel is the most iconic Iron Man suit so far. Need Vision, either AOU or CW, doesn't matter, I like what's out so far and it can only get better with Vision. I want to get the CW Scarlet Witch as I feel that the second release of the figure with new head sculpt and outfit will be the better representation from the first attempt. I have the Mark II which has a Rhodes head sculpt, so that can work as War Machine until I get the figures I NEED to get first like Cap and Vision and probably new Iron Man Mark armour provided they continue to go down the path they are - the 2 AOU armours are killer. But the new die cast War Machne Mark I is definitely on my radar,, as I LOVE that and HATE the newest war Machines, so I think he's moved up the list to just after Cap. But that has to be picked up in the aftermarket coz the cost of the figure, with currency exchange, shipping and customs, it'll be almost $600!!!! I could LITERALLY get the 1/4th Iron Man they just released CHEAPER!!!

I loved Spidey, Hulk and Iron Man as a kid, but interest in Spidey is long gone, so no Spidey 6th scale for me ever. Besides, have yet to see a good one. Other than that, a movie Deadpool from Hot Toys would be perfect.

Yeah....I've thought about this stuff a lot...lol
