The last few things Gunn hyped up I ended up not agreeing with, so, this scares me a bit.

I feel a lot of what Stark saids in these films is pretty cringeworthy.

It's crazy to think that this movie is gonna have Antman, Spiderman, Ironman and Hawkeye and this not be a comedy.

Stark has called Thor "Point Break," Cap "Capsicle," Loki "Reindeer Games," etc. I thought "Underoos" was fitting and hilarious and knew who he was talking about right away... But I guess if you don't like Whedony, I can get that it's not your thing.

It depends on the timing and the overall feel of the movie. It worked great in Avengers 1 because that was such a fun adventure and those scenes you mentioned weren't serious at all. This is different, or at least it's supposed to be.

I knew what he meant as soon as he said it. I remember my first pair of underoos when I was 7. And they were spider-man!

At this point my only question is whether or not this movie will be better than Winter Soldier? I already feel like it's going to be better than AOU and probably A1. But will it be better than WS? Statistically third movies of a trilogy fair far worse than the previous two. But this may be one of the rare exceptions.

It is funny that they chose to end a very serious trailer with a joke. :lol

Marvel wouldn't have it any other way.

I guess they chose to go the joke route because they're introducing Spider-man to the MCU and spider would not be spider unless he's cracking a joke. If he appeared and did t say anything fans would be like, "he's to serious", or "Im not getting a spidey vibe from him."

Winter Soldier was good, but I think the sheer fact of how many relationships will be strained and tested in Civil War will add so much more weight to the story than WS had.

Action and all will likely be equal, it's the added story weight that will elevate it.

Civil War I think will be a more emotionally investing movie. I hope it's as tightly made, because with the sheer gravity of what will happen on screen it deserves to be the best. I think it'll be the most important marvel movie.

General Ross has some nerve lecturing them about New York, DC, etc when he and his team were also responsible for lots of destruction and collateral damage. Did he not watch THE INCREDIBLE HULK? :lol

Same. Heck, I don't even like GotG much.
But he's indeed their "hype man" which is a little bit sad but... I can live with that. :lol
