Or writing, any way.

Without knowing his real thoughts, my feeling is also that Whedon may be ready to move on after Avengers 2, given his explicit support of Edgar Wright and the fact that he seems like the type who would want to try new things without being committed to focusing on one type of franchise indefinitely.

That's funny. In the comic though it was pretty balanced between the two. So I expect this to be the same with it wrapping up in the end them coming back together.

I still say I can't see them killing off the main characters. They represent too much potential revenue. I can see them shifting them, Steve Rogers becoming the new Fury, Tony moving out west, Thor paroling the cosmos. Roger's life has been pretty miserable so far and I think they will let him have some grace. I would think its more likely that Stark would sacrifice himself in some way when he realizes he was wrong. Maybe not dead but disabled or incapacitated in some way, although not permanently. Comic books have long periods they can drag complex plots through. Movie audiences have only seen 6 hours of Captain America so far.

I guess that could be good, after all I'm pretty attached to the current MCU, it will be hard to let it go
