Avi arad was the idiot who kept pushing stupid polot points in these movies.
Keep in mind that Avi Arad started his "career" in the 1990s by bootlegging a crappy Batman figure.
No kidding . . . he & Ike Perlmutter had a mold of a Keaton Bats fig that they bootlegged into a Toybiz/Marvel empire.
Perlmutter is now a multi-billionaire. Arad's become a wealthy movie producer.
But both started out bootlegging superhero figures and scraping together sales to form ToyBiz!
Honestly, the whole IM vs Capt idea feels more epic than BVS ever did, mainly because there's an actual history to these characters on film
The fact that Marvel Studios has been building their universe for
eight years gives them a tremendous advantage over other comic-book IPs.
They've taken the time to do the world-building and establish a continuity between events and characters.
This movie is looking to be the culmination of all that effort.
It's unprecedented in the genre, and as ambitious as this is, they still have
Infinity War to assemble.
Disney has fouled up the MCU before (IM3 was pure doo-doo) so they're hardly blameless . . . but they
seem to meddle with their IPs less than the assclowns who run WB.
