I give her a pass in IM2. She was an undercover shield agent working for Tony in a corporate environment. Curls and a fashionable looking executive corporate style worked for me because that was the role she was playing. Besides, she still looked smoking hot.

Agreed. BW was undercover so it made sense to me and yes she was smoking hot.

I thought he was good as "Hydra Thug," but not sure I can see him pulling off a very interesting Crossbones. In the comics, that guy is the ultimate bad-ass. He's like Stone Cold Steve Austin as a comic bad guy. But we'll see!

Joss Whedon hates long hair on the BW character, which is why he cut her hair for Avengers 1 AND 2, after she had long hair in IM2 and TWS . It's a subtle FU, but an FU nonetheless
