I really hope Cap beats the **** out of Stark in this one. There's something that is really starting to annoy me about Tony. The pompous personality, the outfits he wears, etc. He went from being one of my favorite MCU characters to just this little, annoying POS. I'm not even sure what his character arc is anymore.

Honestly, I felt like Thor, Cap and the rest of the Avengers in Age of Ultron. They all had enough of Stark's ****. The world would have been a better place if he quit after Iron Man 3.

too funny...I thought the same thing

Stark is interested in enslaving the world (with his tech) while at the same time thinking he is protecting it..

Cap wants real freedom while protecting God given and constitutional rights of the people (He is old school values and that is why he is my favorite)

Stark created Ultron (playing God) and the chaos that was brought with it and yet nobody sees that AOU was his fault

So of course Stark is all for the (national ID) registration act! (fiction reflects the eventually plan/reality in the real life for the same purpose)

So yeah,Stark needs a woopin! by Captain America

:yess: Someone feels a little like I do.

Tony's never been my favorite even though I've enjoyed him and he's been fun, but he's fallen lower over the course of the MCU. He's one of my least favorite Avengers now. And I think AOU cemented that for me. I really, really want Steve to beat him down at this point.

It's going to be very, very easy for me to be on Team Cap in Civil War.

I can't help but wonder how unlikable this film might make him, even if it's unintentional.

I have a feeling that most heroes will be on Team Cap ... Team Stark miiiight have Rhodey on it but I'm thinking it might mostly be the govt.

It would be much more interesting to see heroes genuinely divided (roughly half and half), than a couple of heroes who don't jump on the bandwagon with everyone else, teaming up with the government.

Yeah ... good point. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Tough to see at this point how it'll be divied up ... I guess there's supposed to he an event that causes collateral damage in the movie so it'll be interesting to see how it shakes out.

How many times have we heard or seen "for the greater good"? Go Cap!

That would be okay - but ONLY IF it makes sense, writing wise and characterization wise, for the individual heroes to be there. The last thing I want, though, is for the divisions to be for shock value or plot based drama over what makes sense and is befitting of the character. I like drama that fits the characters, not drama for drama's sake.

If it means making the character OOC to achieve it, it's not worth it.

If that means there's less on Tony's side in terms of the Avengers, so be it. Don't want anybody written OOC for the sake of forced drama.

Spiderman on the set of Civil War!

So it looks like Ant Man is probably part of the new Avengers team? (Since he's on set)

- The scene they are shooting is the first big action set for the film and the one that kicks off the "civil war"

- Lots of innocent bystanders die in the new avengers fight vs Crossbones, resulting in world governments cracking down on superhero activity

- Tony Stark takes up the mantle of Team Let The Government Control Superheroes and Captain America leads Team That’s A Terrible *****ing Idea.

- The thing that becomes the touchstone of the conflict is the Winter Soldier—everyone wants a piece of him. Cap wants to save his best friend, Tony Stark wants the guy who murdered his parents and may be using the government registration cause as a means to that end, Crossbones wants his brainwashed Hydra pet back, and Black Panther is in the mix, too, after the Winter Soldier for reasons unknown.

- Civil War is a critical moment for Sebastian Stan and Bucky Barnes—he has to get everyone on his side by the end of this movie, because his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get a lot bigger. (I'm thinking Steve dies and Bucky Cap takes over)

Everything about this is exciting me. I think this is going to be a big milestone for the MCU.

Isn't the plot just the X-Men dilemma revisited?
