Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

The action in the game trailer looks really good. I can only hope thats what the movie has in store because so far, that game is looking much more hopeful then any footage I've seen of the movie.

I would have to agree with you, although TV spot 3 is pretty awesome.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

I get what you're saying, you just want to feel like and be IM, Thor, Wolverine, Batman or Cap when you play these games and some succeed more at it than others but even the mediocre ones provide some fun for a few weeks.

I just wish all were at the same level as Wolverine, Batman or God of War.

Pretty much. Some are really bad Iron Man 1 I thought was not good at all. Didn't even finish that game but some are like Wolverine and Batman that are well put together. Thor was someplace in the middle as far as good but not great. I expect the same out of Cap but my expectations for Batman AC are much higher.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

What a freaking AWESOME Superhero summer it's already turning out to be :yess:

Thor kicked ass!
X-Men looks like it also kicks ass, going to see it tonight!
GL looks very promising!
Cap coming out in July has got that whole patriotic build up thing going for it!

Then you add in the HT figures (CR Superman alone but also Keaton Batman and Thor and Cap :drool), Art Books, videogames and other non Superhero movie properties and finally Mike working overtime trying to explain it all to us :lol and it's a WIN/WIN summer!

Then when you add in 2012 with Avengers, TDKR Imax, The Amazing Spiderman 3D and Ghost Rider reboot and it will be a double summer to remember for a lifetime! :panic: x 2

What say you :lol

Agreed! The films during the summer of 2011 have been fun lots of fun honestly. Like you said Thor was for me the best film so far by a decent margin and X-Men was a solid #2. Plus we've still got GL and Cap which I feel really good about as far as comic movies go. Next, its HP 7 Pt2 and Transformers 3 both of which I'm really looking forward to.

Then as you said in 2012 you've got those movies which I think will be freaking awesome. The Avengers I think will end up being the best marvel movie ever. Just a gut feeling on it all. Not to mention The Hobbit part 1 comes out which I am really really waiting for.

Yup, toss in all the collectibles be it figures, books, video games, etc. Its a good time. :rock

I understand that. Seems like we've been waiting for ever for The Hobbit.

I am too. After seeing the trailer I think it will be a fun flick to go see.

I've seen 7 movies so far (seen Thor twice) and honestly even as bad as Green Hornet was I've enjoyed them all. It looks like the rest of this year and next will be more of the same.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

These two summers really are great for comic book movies.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

So if the game follows the same plot as the film, I assume that Bucky will be one of the Howling Commandos and not a sidekick.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

Fury became the leader of the Howling Commandos. Units weren't integrated until 1948.
