Finally, I was wondering when we were finally gonna see a SERS Chris Evans sculpt. I thought we might get it from a Johnny Storm before Cap.
I want to absolutely love this, but HT still didn’t nail it. The body proportions could still use some work and the head sculpts are pretty good but not perfect. Still, I’ll almost certainly pick this up since it’s “good enough” and I’m a sucker for TWS.

Good edit I saw. They definitely made his jaw area way too bloated.

Am a sucker for TWS but never planned to trade up/sell figs. Or, there's gotta be a real reason - for me - otherwise where does it end $$$$. Bucky, yeah, since that sculpt needs work and he could use an Artisan. Tho haven't had any peeling (yet). (Maybe it'll be I wasted money on those 1/6 Gerbers last year).

Besides my original set having a nostalgia factor, stiff and puffy as it is.:lol My first HTs were that Cap set.

I like my original Nat, too, tho might go for her, depending. Gonna take a wait and see approach. I'm back pedaling on buying the same fig over...and over, when there's the Andor stuff coming (probably). $$$ Plus Thunderbolts $$$$

Just looking back at how much the Endgame version was— sheesh that feels like a rip off at $325 compared to this at $280.

I highly doubt they will adjust it. It is what it is. They sculpted this based off his EG look so they can retool/reuse it for future releases/2.0.
Yea, this is definitely going to make the rounds for future releases just as the original TWS sculpts did up until endgame.

I definitely hear you on the “where does it end?”

For me, it’s really difficult to know there’s a better and maybe more accurate version available; so, if there’s an upgrade and it appears to be worth it in the way this one does (particularly in relation to the 1.0) then it seems like a good reason to ditch the old.

I don’t have nostalgia for older figs anymore in this 1/6 hobby. It’s really on for transformers that I hold nostalgia for originals and even then those are now getting pushed aside for me with these new “missing link” figures they’re coming out with modern articulation while maintaining the old school molding.

Seeing them side by side like this.. the new one seems waaaay better now.
The tailoring of the suit definitely confirms to the body better.

But are the arms that flared out on the 1.0?

It’s as if Hot Toys purposely did that to make the 2.0 look better in comparison, like those Before & After infomercials.

Yes, the arms flare out that badly on the 1.0

Many folks modded their 1.0 figures in attempts to get the arms to sit at the side better, myself included.

Just ordered this through Timewalker for $272.99 and combined order for free shipping. TWS is my favorite MCU movie and I am happy this is coming. Just need the golden age Cap 2.0 and I will be satisfied.

Because, frankly, this is just one of many Caps. It's not even the first time they've done this particular appearance, nor will it likely be the last. It's one thing when InArt is going to make a character once -- especially characters like LOTR, where the next closest competition is Asmus; for a rare opportunity like that (and the higher price point), of course you want the figures to be as perfect as possible.

This is just the next HT Cap. There will be another, and another, and another... When that's the case, incremental improvement is more acceptable.
