I'm seeing a galore of midichlorians (mites and dead skin cells) at Anakin's feet... ;)

Here's a pose borrowed from one of the other members of this forum. Though the pose is somewhat extreme and exaggerated, the Buck looks proportionate as well as natural:

on picture, yes. it looks natural. (cut some slack since its an alien.) but in hand, that's another matter all together. Some SS SW figures does benefit from having a huge cape/cloak to cover up the buck's short comings, but I dont want to always use the cape/cloak. Also, pic can play tricks. From one angle it looks fine, but when you look from the other side, its down right weird. In the end, the most natural looking pose I can ever get from a buck is standing. And that really kills the amount of fun I can get outta them. With other 1/6 bodies like RAH 301 or HT TT, I dont have that problem.

Anyways, its just my personal opinion. I know there are people who doesn't care about these things. So if it works for you, that's great.

Does that mean even more dust is piled up on your monitor?

:lol

I'm working on a Hoth display for when those figures start getting released :D

The Buck Body's ok. but that's it, It's just ok. The medicom bady has everyone beat in terms of poseability and balance. they do however suffer a bit in the durability department.
Hot toys seems to be the best "middle ground" body. It's fairly durable, it's purportiond well, if the shoulders sem a little wonky, it poses well, and it's fairly cheap. ( 25ish compared to the 50ish for medicom bodies)
It it's day, the buck was great, but Personaly, I'm ready for the prometheus to take over.

Howdy fellow airsofter! I gotta say though, any more dust and you can use some nitrogen and freeze your own BBs... Skin and dust mites should be biodegradable, right?

Actually, the overall look of the Medicom body is flawed. Fragility aside, they're essentially 13-year-old boys with adult heads. Physically, they almost look disproportionate with their small chests, hunching shoulders and little girl hands. This is a shame when you consider that their troopers and Vader (only the ROTJ one) are some of the most beautiful figures from any Star Wars offering but still suffer from the "girly" issue. All these issues came to light with their nightmarish Darth Maul release. If ever there was a Jedi or Sith who NEEDED to keep their robe on, it was Medicom's Maul.

If I had to pick a favorite, it'd be the HotToys TrueType body as it seems to give better poses than the Medicom and still keep the action figures looking like men. Sadly, however, as I found out yesterday while trying to finish a custom Chuck Norris, even the TrueType is less durable than the Buck which leaves me hoping we get the same durability as the buck, with the Prometheus.

You are the first person to notice The bag of Bios on that shelf, keen eye sir.

The major thing to remember about the medicom body is despite what medicom says, it's not really 1/6th scale it's closer to 1/5th and a half scale. this is what lends them to have their "girly" physique. for some characters, this works. Emo peter parker, Comic book SniktBub with his huge like xbox special arms, COmic Spider-man all look great with their mix of wirey and muscular parts.
However, i do agree that on guys like Vader, it just dosn't look right :(

Here's hoping Sideshow learned and implemented alot with the prometheus body :D

Couldn't help but notice. I'd like to say that's my first passion, but I think airsoft and 1:6 action figures are dead even. Although the airsoft supports my Sideshow Collectibles credit card debt.

As for the Medicom body, no. I stand by my original position. I ordered a blank base body from Japan and by the time it'd arrived, the peg that secures the leg into the buttcheek had busted during shipping. WAAAAAAAAAY too fragile. Also look below, it looks like a little boy's body, not the body of a man and CERTAINLY not the body of a heroic action figure unless said hero is a boy... or a girl:

EDIT: After looking at this body, I think that's why the design looks so funky when they add muscles to it like they did with the Punisher Venom. He doesn't even look natural (given exception to his superproportions). The body doesn't flow like it should.

Grabbed this image from the Sideshow site. You guys think the fingers here are opened broad enough to hold anyone's neck?

I mean Antilles' neck.

Looks like it could be "forced" to work. That wasn't a bad pun but I'm also sure the hand wouldn't support the weight of Antilles and would fall over. Hard to say.

I am thinking of using a stand to lift Antilles, with 'this hand' placed around his throat. I don't think any firm grip on the throat is possible.

True, but it would have been nice to see some images... cool too if they added an extra Vader hand as an exclusive, or just a cool accessory.
