Re: Castle Series thread.

I prefer the longer hair as well!!

Celtic, maybe you can change the title them to just Castle?? Since you made the thread? :D

Good excuse to use my favorite gif:

Freakin love Castle...and Fillion is the sh$t! Don't get me started on Firefly!! I do hope to see more deeper cases with ongoing criminals so that there is more invested by Castle and Becket that can build up to an awesome jaw dropping finale!

Thanks buddy.

I think what I deeply love about Castle is all of the Firefly references. You have to be careful or you will miss them. But when he does spout them out, I usually have a fan girl freak out!

Especially when he spoke Chinese and then referenced Firefly. I am pretty sure I jumped off of my couch in excitement.

The first Castle episode that I watched was the Halloween episode in the first season when he dressed up as a "Space Cowboy." Ever since then I've been hooked.

Last two episodes were fantastic.

I love the episodes that add to the overall story, not just the murderer of the week episodes.

Jennifer Beals was fantastic. She is aging like a very fine wine. Saw the big reveal coming a mile away though.

I actually prefer the stand alone episodes myself. I don't really like the convoluted plot they're building up. I guess I understand why they feel they have to do that though since they can't get Kate and Rick together, they're afraid of the audience getting bored. Personally, I feel myself getting pulled out of the show when it starts going the X-Files conspiracy route.

Yes, they are definitely fighting the Moonlighting syndrome - Beals character even addresses it directly in this episode with her "I almost wish we didn't get together."

But I was a bit disappointed in this 2 episode arc - this show is usually smarter and I kept praying they weren't going where I thought they were going - but they did.

I've been a huge fan of this show since the first episode, but I have to admit I'm getting frustrated with the Castle/Beckett relationship. I realize they're afraid of putting the two together because historically it's a show killer, but at some point you have to ____ or get off the pot. The way they have to keep maneuvering them apart is making both characters look dense. At the end of tonight's episode I found myself saying "Just sit down and ____ing talk!" I really hate the idea of giving up on this show because I loved it so much, but I don't know if I can do another season of this. It used to be so much fun, and now I find watching actually feeling like a bit of a chore.

I definitely agree. Seems like the writers are trying to find a way to separate them until another case brings them back before they finally sit down and do the talk.

Anyone catch the previews for next week? ADAM BALDWIN!

Mal and Jayne together again!!!!

and yea, I'm frustrated by the relationship stuff - but it looks like they're bringing it to a head for a big season closer.

Even though Jayne wasn't a browncoat, both Adam and Nathan will be wearing brown coats in the episode.

On another note, Stana has stated she doesn't like when shows go back and forth with characters as she doesn't feel it is fair to the audience. The finale of this season is called "Always." So I have a feeling we will get something out of it.

I believe the producers said at the Paley event that they don't agree that you have to keep them apart or the show loses it's spark ala Moonlighting. So I expect something to happen. I always saw them as Nick and Nora Charles more than Maddie and David anyway.

My wife watches this show very faithfully, and I watch it with her every now and then--and my impression is that the show wouldn't die if they brought the characters together. The Nick and Nora Charles example is a good one.
