I agree that having them "together" wouldn't ruin the show. The show is not about their bickering, like Moonlighting was. If anything, the show is about how good they are together and how well they compliment each other. I have been finding it annoying and frustrating when they fabricate all these situations to keep them apart. When one is ready to commit, the other just happens to start dating someone else.

Although I can see that if they do get together, that the showrunners will come up with problems that will make them question their relationship or even break them apart. I can already see the episode when Becket says, "I hesitated because I was thinking about how my actions will affect you if I were to get hurt. I can't be that way and be a good cop. It's over."

Well,

Hopefully Castle and Beckett together will be more like Shawn and Jules on Psych, and less like Jim and Pam on The Office.

And I get the "ooohhhh a threat to indicate the excitement and suspense for next season" of the last scene, but I think the episode and season would have been better served ending on Castle and Beckett.

Another very good ep to end another very good season. Such a solid show.

It was about bloody time. I knew it was going to happen. Stana has been saying she doesn't want to toy viewers around. And with the title being Always, we all expected it.

The fight scene was awesome. I loved that it shows how vulnerable she is, she is not invincible. And she needed to be shown that.

I am also glad Ryan told the Captain. It had to be done.

Looking forward to seeing what the new season brings. Hopefully breakfast in bed.

I'm thinking the start of the next season will start out with them happily laying in bed and then either Martha or Alexis will unexpectedly walk in. I know Castle said he would see Alexis on Sunday, but it wouldn't be the first time someone came back early because they missed their dad/mom/daughter ect...

Great episode and great ending for the finale! To have a dripping wet Stana Katic knock on my door.... :drool:drool:drool

When you look at what Castle did though - she really should be pissed. If she could get her hands on the documents that are being used to blackmail her enemy she could solve her mother's murder. I was afraid they were going to use this rift to keep them apart again - but I was really glad how it resolved.

Yes, but he was in a tough spot and thinking with his heart. With her just being shot in the chest plus not knowing who or what they were truly up against, I would have done the same thing.

But, from her perspective you hit the nail on the head. The only problem is "if" they could get the documents. No guarantee there. But, she realized he was right. Hanging off the side of a building I'm sure can be very eye opening. :lol

I really enjoyed last night and look forward to seeing Castle and Beckett play the game of hiding the relationship from everybody. Beckett is so hot.

Hopefully the mother murder stuff is on the back burner, because I honestly greatly prefer the self-contained episodes.

I was worried the vibe would be different after the "will they/won't they" aspect was over, so them trying to hide it will at least provide some possibility for fun storylines, delaying the inevitable open relationship.

I missed last week's episode but last night's was really good. I'm not sure why they're going with the 3 week wait though.

The 3 week break is because february sweeps is over. They have to make sure they have enough new episodes left to run during may sweeps into the finale.

Kind of ready for this series to end and see what else Nathan can do.

I have to admit I only watch the show casually these days. The whole thing with Beckett's mom's murder being this grandiose conspiracy, and the plotline of the last two episodes, it really feels like they're reaching for ideas. It's also getting a bit too campy.

I was too busy with work that I missed half of season 6, but since the season finale was yesterday I'm gonna watch all of them. I do appreciate if you guys could keep the spoilers away.

Been a fan since the first episode. Definitely some of the better, light hearted shows out there.

Re: Castle Series thread.

Anybody own the Nikki Heat books? They're totally something special as apposed to being just a companion piece or quick cash-in. I have 3 of them so far. My girlfriend has them all plus the Derrick Storm books.
