Still to skinny for Bane lol. Seriously though he doesn't look too bad there.

You can CGI muscles on they've done that for dozens of movies in the past, 300, Ghost Rider, etc. You can't CGI talent. I'd rather they go actor than some muscle bound hack

Oh I agree, and I'd prefer a good actor over a wrestler who can't act worth a damn anyday, my the prob with CG, is it's allways noticable but again I'll take good acting over possible mediocre CGI anyday.

CGI worked really well with Davy Jones in POTC so I'm sure it will look great here if they need to take that route.

I think it is safe to say we're going to get a pretty different take on Bane. I'm really not that familiar with the character, but after reading Knightfall, I was throughly unimpressed.

while hardy can put on some weight its not enough for bane IMO.. its not that I'm worried about how the character will turn out. I'm sure he'll be great I'm just worried about the matchup onscreen.. according to various source Christian bale is 6' to 6'1... while hardy is a marginal 5'10...

Motion capture doesn't strike me as the kind of approach Nolan would employ. I have every confidence that he will make it work. No one is as aware of the "third film curse" as he is. He's said so in many interviews. Have a little faith in a great director, guys.

Micheal Keaton is 5'9" or 5'10" and he played Batman, a character that's 6'2".

Nolan is not going to use mocap/cgi or a muscle suit to make Hardy look like Bane from the comics.

I don't understand how someone could expect that.

As far as looks go, he may bulk up like in Bronson and he may even wear a mask.
