You're just mad the Riddler isn't in it.

Oh, and this is how I totally see Nolan doing Bane.

That looks....awful. Worked for the game, but not for Nolan's films.

Yeah, I am mad the Riddler isn't in it, but that doesn't affect my opinion of his casting of the other villains. As everyone else said Tomy Hardy is too small to be Bane, and Anne Hathaway is Anne Hathaway, enough said.

I'll keep this in mind when you post pictures of your Hot Toys Bane and Catwoman and/or TDKR movie masters figures.

I hope they do something to make Bane appear bigger and taller. I understand them trying to make this more realistic and are going for a new interpritation of the character and I'm perfectly fine with that but as I said, the one thing that made Bane stand out in the comics (at least for me) is his size. Other than that, Bane looks just like a guy in a luchador mask. I'm not expecting them to make him look like 7 foot wrestler, but when I think of Bane, I allways think of a guy who is bigger and taller than Bats.

Eddy you should watch Bronson, Hardy is not too small for Bane.
He is like a chameleon, he can look incredibly different. I think he will be amazing as Bane. A Nolan Bane though, not a comicbook Bane.

And I totally agree with you about the Riddler, such a pity Nolan has avoided the more colorful Batman characters in favor of the real ones.
I think the real challenge is turning these characters into cinematic fodder. Yeah, Heath was amazing, but he was basically playing a psycho with make up. And I don't think Two Face worked at all, even though I loved Eckhart. IMHO.

The only way I can see him not making Bane look bigger and taller is if he puts way more emphasis on Bane's intellect than his strength.

I understand what you all are saying about wanting to keep things true to the comics. I generally feel the same way, but sometimes I try to remind myself that I already know that story, let's see a different take on things.

Yeah I agree to some extent but the brute strength as well as the intellect are both defining characteristics of Bane - it's not really Bane without one or the other.

I don't expect Nolan is going to make him look like a 7 ft, 300lb monster. But I expect he'll make him look bigger than Batman.

I guess I'll just Nolan then with it.

But I can't say much for Catwoman.

I just don't get why he would go with Bane, he's not very realistic IMO compared to the Riddler. I was looking forward to seeing cool Riddler traps.

We shall see. I doubt I will get Hot Toys figures but I will probably get movie masters ones.

Either way though you're probably partly right :lol

I'll admit I'd much rather see Riddler (or even Penguin) than Bane but I'm sure it will all work out fine. And Catwoman is fine, I have no problem with Anne.

Riddler is more cerebral. I like that and I agree that I'd rather see him than Bane. Better Bane than Killer Croc though.

The thing I most wanted to see was...ah, but then, I'm beating a dead horse.
:horse

I'm pretty sure this will be a great movie though. I've really enjoyed what Nolan has done so far and I can't see this being any different.

Croc > Bane

Croc has rocks,

TBH the only thing i'm disappointed about so far is that the penguin/Phillip Seymour Hoffman rumours never came through.

That would have been truly epic - a simple eccentric mob boss version of Penguin would have worked perfectly in the Nolanverse, and Seymour Hoffman would be killer in the role.

Alas - i'm more than happy to just wait and see what we get in TDKR.

is it not possible that after transformation they simply choose another bigger actor with a mask on which as the acting part would really only apply to the character in his human form?

Oh my god, never heard that, that would have been amazing!
