But didn't they only talk about Aaron Eckhart As Harvey Dent and not Two-Face?

All the pre-TDK announcements I've been able to find state "Harvey Dent/Two-face". The original idea was Two-Face would be created in TDK and then be the main villain for the third movie. Then Nolan and co. decided to change that and just condense/wrap up the Two-Face story arc in TDK.

I've been trying to think of Catwoman in Nolan's universe and I'm really curious to see how he's going to make sense of her name. I for one hope that it has nothing to do with actual cats and is purely related to the term cat burglar. My guess is a quick conversation between Gordon and Batman ala the ending of Begins with the Joker. Something along the lines of she's stealthy like a cat or Gotham's nicknamed her the Catwoman.

Yeah, maybe a wealthy socialite or cat burglar.

Though, I do hope she has a cat, like in BTAS. I think the cat's name was Isis and would be on her shoulder or accompany her on heists. As long as she's nothing like the Halle Barry Catwoman it should be great.

As far as Hardy in "Bronson".. he wasn't that big. People always post that one pic of Hardy from the movie because with the lighting and the position he's standing in, he looks big. But when you see other pics from the movie you can see he was still pretty small even with the extra 40lbs he put on.

I think people forget: Tom Hardy is only like 5' 9" maybe 5' 10" max.

So Nolan is either gonna have to use trick photography/CGI to make Hardy taller/bigger or he'll have to just re-imagine/re-invent the character and disregard his comic/cartoon physique and stature.

I feel we'll see some trick photography to make him look taller. In terms of 'buffness' I we'll see a Bronson type build, which is strong enough to make it believable that he could break Batman, if combined with the illussion of bigger stature IMO

Maybe catwoman steps in in batmans absence, only with a more sinister approach, as in she wont care if she kills the bad guys or not.

Maaybe... could be. Or maybe Bane himself is the anti hero during the 2nd act, who brtualizes the gangs and creates an environment of terror, setting it up for Batman to come back and redeem himself

I agree, I think Nolan is just being coy by not referring to her as Catwoman. I think it would be similar to the 2 face character.

If Nolan wouldnt have mentioned that this is his final, that is a possiblity but since this is his final Batman film, No way he's gonna use A huge character in Batman Mythos and only have her as a civilian. I'm without a doubt positive we'll see Catwoman.

Agreed completely. No way we won't see her in the suit IMO

Christian Bale was just as big if not bigger in Batman Begins.

:goodpost:

Bale was really yoked.. hardy cannot physically match up with bale even if he put on 60 pounds.. bale is just a overall bigger guy.

I have one fear with Bane and one fear only. They did it in the cartoon.

If Bane lifts Batman over his head and doesn't deliver the final blow I will be pissed. Either do it or don't do it at all. If I have to see him lift him over his head and then batman stab him in the arm or something I'm done lol

I could see them doing that again for TDKR,

Especially if Bane has the toxin serum (which can be plausible in a world with "fear toxin") running through him.

How else will Bane meet his demise or apprehension? There seems to be a certain rhythm with the comics, films, and shows.

Two-Face usually "falls", literally and symbolically. He falls to his death in Batman Forever, falls in BTAS but is later saved and sent to Arkham and of course falls and dies in TDK. His coin usually being the culprit.

The Joker likewise always has that familiar trait. Taking over the mob (or being associated with it for a time being), killing them off, taking over and then terrorizing the city (both film Jokers do this). When he's defeated he too, falls. In Batman he plummets to the catheterize steps below (because of Batman's grapple), falls in TDK and is saved (because of Batman's grapple) and in BTAS there's quite a few times where it's ambiguous as to if he's dead or not (falling in flames, in water with sharks, etc.).

It's been that way in the comics. Each character has a certain gimmick and with that an Achilles heel. Batman exploits it and defeats them. An example would be Riddler's head exploding from too much power or being fooled and having his mind be destroyed or the ventriloquist and Scarface. "Kill" Scarface and the Ventriloquist loses his mind (or goes off to make a socket puppet or a new Scarface).

Bane's weakness is his strength, that's why in every incarnation he's usually defeated the same way.

I'd have no problem with Bane lifting Batman for the killing blow, only to have Batman outsmart him in a way that damages Bane's character (either interfering with his toxin, pumping him up, draining him, whatever).

It'll be interesting to see if Batman gets his back broken in this one. That's the big rumor going around now, though, I doubt it's true.

"I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies." - Christopher Nolan

That's from the press release.;)

Probably just be a guy jacked up on super-powerful steroids. Wouldn't need to be tall for that, just powerful. Batman hasn't fought a super strong guy yet in these movies.

Too bad, because you really need a giant rubber suit for Bane.

Well there you go. Expect a midget mastermind ala Scarecrow. :lol

Thats the problems nowadays. You don't get enough midgets in films.

You're just mad the Riddler isn't in it.

Oh, and this is how I totally see Nolan doing Bane.
