IronFingaz - where the heck did you find that?!!? :lol

agen_kolar - it was great meeting you, too! I hope you get to Africa...that would be awesome!

I would totally be up for a 3 room suite next time! :rock

It's from the film Freaks. Waller said "you were one of us" and i thought the "One of us! Gooble gobble!" chant fit in nicely :lol

They also used it in South Park in the Butters episode.

gibby is now one of us. :lecture

He can be Shemp! :lol

Me neither. I just use our board names in case some of us have stalkers.

Who's a stalker? Wait, what? You found me out!

I started thinking "I'm not going to regret passing on that deal, am I?"... :panic::panic::panic:

Hey! You stole my trademark three panic button! :thwak

There was no A/C and it wasn't until the plane moved that it started to cool down.

Delta guys? I'm starting to think they don't want to turn the air on at first to save money, because it happened exactly the same way on all four of my legs this time, so...

LOL! Only Iron would find some obscure clip to use to make fun of us!

That is not an obscure clip. That is required viewing around these parts! You and gibby should be ashamed of yourselves for not knowing it. We are Sideshow Freaks, after all! Tod Browning FTW.

Fury and Waller, thanks for helping us out on Sunday! And gibby I'm glad you're part of the family now. It was great meeting you! Avfin, Swabie, UT, Shadow5, Lopie, Shalamar, JJJ, and everyone else, it was great seeing you all again!

You're welcome of course. But honestly, the other freaks nudged me into it. As long as I get my "lucky badge" back from Armored, I'm all good.

Also I do not know how I did it on so very few hours of sleep--Fury and Waller and some crazy guys that will keep you up all night
Too bad they do not have a room that would sleep like 8 people

Hey, that wasn't me waking sleeping freaks up at 6 AM! Damn! But seriously, yeah, I was thinking this exact thing when I saw Swabie's room. We could go in for the three room suite. Usually, the two side rooms have two beds each, and then there's the one in the main suite, and we could get at least two roll away (ouch!) beds in there as well, if not more. Too many people could be problematic though. Some of us old fellows need sleep now and then. Maybe designate a quite time? Yeah, right!

Swabie's suite had doors to the rooms on both sides of him. We need a few of those and just keep the doors open. How awesome would that have been to have 3 adjoining rooms. :rock

Like I said, I had that idea when I saw his room! 2014 Suite Freak Party!

His alarm would've been fury screaming after seeing that thing Avfin left in the bathroom.

"You fell into that nest, master."

IronFingaz - where the heck did you find that?!!?
I would totally be up for a 3 room suite next time! :rock

Like I said before. You better get you a copy of Freaks and check it out!

Does it come with an exclusive bottle of medication?

My room did...

Okay, that was enough multi quoting for the day. This thread blew up more on the day after than during the ramp up to the show! I was only in class for a few hours and missed quite a few pages. Caught up now, and heading home now to edit my pics from the show. I took quite a few less images this time, but I know there is some interest in at least one video of some freaks dancing, and a few other things.

gibby - you are truly one of us now. Sorry, buddy, that's just the way it goes. I think I can speak for everybody involved that we just felt like we knew you already from the boards. You meshed so well with the gang, it was awesome. Thanks for coming. I hope you had a great time, regardless of a few issues here or there.

Cons get better as you go along and get your bearings. I added up the number of days I've been at conventions since I attended SDCC in 2004, and it put me at 38 whole days! I can honestly say that this past Saturday was my best day ever at any show in the past ten years. And Freaks seem to figure into that experience by far more than fifty percent. I mean, I didn't get out of the room until 10:30, and still, due to the generosity of Avfin, got to get into the first row of the Super Secret panel, and finally...

... finally, see George Lucas! :D

Oh, damn man. Sorry. Didn't mean to rub it in. I tend to do that pretty easily. I'm so self centered. Working on it...

But seriously...

Saturday highlights:

1. sleeping in, thanks Avfin!
2. cutting and getting into one of the two main panels I wanted to for this show, Super Secret Panel, which led to...
3. seeing George Lucas!
4. filming the entire GL appearance
5. free Detours shirt, thanks Avfin!
6. Kenny Baker winking at me? ****ing winking at me, man!
7. showing Kenny Baker my R2 tattoo that I got on his birthday!
8. Kenny Baker autograph!
9. Origami panel that turned quite explicit!
10. front row of the origami panel, thanks Avfin for letting me cut again!
11. hanging with a fellow freak at something that they love, origami!
12. getting pinned up by Frau Shropt again, thanks Frau!
13. tons of compliments all day on my new R2D2 tattoo!
14. line time with a big group of freaks heading to the radio drama!
15. the amazing Smugglers Gambit radio drama panel with freaks!
16. a shower
17. half a delicious beer, pumpkin ale, thanks Waller!
18. Freaks Party CVI, what else is there to say?
19. first raffle ticket chosen, and winning the McHaley canvas prints!
20. Freaks Party CVI photograph with Jon Berg!
21. Freaks Party CVI photograph with Swabie's ass out!
22. convincing my roommates to go downstairs for drinks sooner!
23. two heavily overpriced dirty martinis made perfectly, finally!
24. hanging with the inner circle well into the night!
25. bitter sweet goodbyes to old and new friends alike...

All in all, really amazing day, that I still cannot put into mere words. There was this feeling of elation which seemed to hover all over me though out the day, and I just went with the flow and enjoyed myself immensely for the entire duration of the day. As someone else stated previously (gibby?), the freaks being around really helps feed my convention addiction. I honestly cannot see skipping one of these events, because I would feel like I was missing a huge important family event.

Know what I mean? :D

He can be Shemp! :lol

Hey! You stole my trademark three panic button! :thwak

I was hoping you would catch that. :lol
In honor of you, Stormy!

That is not an obscure clip. That is required viewing around these parts! You and gibby should be ashamed of yourselves for not knowing it. We are Sideshow Freaks, after all! Tod Browning FTW.

I need to watch some more films before next Celebration. :lol

Some of us old fellows need sleep now and then. Maybe designate a quite time? Yeah, right!

And to think we'll be 3 years older the next time around. :(

Thank you, Stormy. :1-1:
You guys made me feel right at home, and it was awesome. I loved every minute of hanging with all of you and sharing our love of everything Star Wars.
btw, it was great meeting you, and despite us wearing the same shirt day 1, I wouldn't have had it any other way. :1-1:

I didn't get out of the room until 10:30, and still, due to the generosity of Avfin, got to get into the first row of the Super Secret panel, and finally...

Epic, truly epic. :thud:

Guarding it with my life sir. Beleive me, right after we were done I wrapped it up nicely and put it my bag. The first thing I did when I got home was wrap it some tissue and put a folded piece of paper over it. I'll have it in the mail either tonight or tomorrow my friend. No worries.

And to everyone, Im horrible with names but it was great meeting everyone and getting to hang out. I had a great time and as much as I loved the event itself it really is awesome to know great people like you all. When I got home my wife was asking about the overall party and what not and I was telling her how again everyone is just great people.

We might not see each other very often, but its quality over quantity for sure. I cant express how great of a time I had and just talking and chatting with everyone.

Even my wife who tagged along for the first half of the day, who really knows nothing about star wars really enjoyed herself and had alot of fun. :1-1:

Thanks for the coke, buddy!!! I'm a cheapy. We are even now from Vegas, woohoo!!!!! :)

Yeah, I posted a pic of it in the picture thread, but here's an embellished version (has subtle differences but they're there)...

It's very good in person, and Mark was a very nice guy to meet. I'm still not sure how he got all of this done at the show with everything going on each night, but he did.

It was totally awesome meeting you gibby!! You're our new best friend and brother now. Forever Freaks and Star Wars!!!! :rock :rock

Gibby has been a bro before cvi and will forever be a bro ! Looking forward to ur next reunion already.

They don't know about the Mummy, lol!!!:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

But yeah, thanks for being my Universal Studios buddy, gibby! I definitely had so much fun. Probably a lot more than if I had gone today. I just looked at the radar and the storm's rain bands look like they are hitting Orlando all day. I definitely made the right decision to come back home early. Plus I guess going to Universal alone isn't going to be as fun as going with others.
Next time, I will have to mention my Walgreens theme park discount on the board, and see how many Freaks we can get together for Universal or Disney for a day! :yess::yess:

Count me in ! Pre con reunion !

I'm glad everyone made it home safe! I had an awesome time, though my stay at this Celebration was much shorter. Next time, I will make sure I get a 4-day pass, just so I can spend more time with my freaks! I just didn't get to see you guys as much this year, and my experience suffered a little for it!

Shropt, thanks for organizing another great party. You're awesome.

Fury and Waller, thanks for helping us out on Sunday! And gibby I'm glad you're part of the family now. It was great meeting you! Avfin, Swabie, UT, Shadow5, Lopie, Shalamar, JJJ, and everyone else, it was great seeing you all again!

Oh, and ArmoredFoe and Bamboota, but they're my main freaks. I see them on the regular. ;)

I can't wait for next time!

It was so great seeing you bro. I also was saddened by not being able to hang out with the three of you more. I hope we can change that next time.

I miss you guys
Yelling out movie lines at random times gets some strange looks
Hanging with you guys is AWESOME. I cannot remember laughing so hard in a long time
Also I do not know how I did it on so very few hours of sleep--Fury and Waller and some crazy guys that will keep you up all night

I am in for that ! Then we can guarantee quality family time !

Mark is awesome. He is moving away from commissions and more embellishments.

I am a mixed bag of emotion right now so I will hold my thoughts on cvi in for the moment. But I am grateful for you all and the times we share. More than many of you know.

It was great meeting you jimjimmyjones! Hopefully next time we can hang more and finally have a dram of scotch together!
