They look awesome. Great work on these two. :clap

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Even though I don't love that Klaatu face sculpt (did you tweak it?,) that figure is just magic to behold. The attention to detail is just staggering.:clap

Thanks. He was always one of my favorite Kenner figures when I was a kid.

Yes, I did tweak the sculpt. I took quite a bit out of the eye area with a dremmel/hobby knife. I wanted him to look thinner,if that makes any sense. I also wanted the face to look flatter. I also sharpened and made smaller the horns.on the face. I also attached the helmet so it would sit higher.

I have been out of town for work the past few weeks, I haven't been home to work on anything. That is about to change. While I was out of town I was trying to source parts/bits I needed for future projects so when I did have the time I would be ready.

Got a package from Duane yesterday, I must say I am impressed. His sewing skills are fantastic. I cannot wait to pair these outfits with his sculpts.

I hope you guys like Skiff Guards and Cantina Aliens. :)

Nothing major really, I haven't had much time to work on anything lately. I did just pick up the Han and Luke Hoth figures. They are really nice, but the scale was bothering me. I did a simple body swap on Luke to a pro 1.0. Much happier now. I really want to go to to work on these guys. I want to dye Luke's vest, add snow weathering and badge, hat adjusments.

I am also pretty excited to do a proper Bespin Han Solo. The exclusvie sculpt is really nice.

With these guys showing up and all the stuff I have got from Duane, I have loads to work on.

Yeah, there's such a huge amount of goodness in that Han Hoth box.

Are you doing anything to the gauntlets? I may try to hit them with some matte clear or think about using cloth. They do have a plastic-ness to them that is starting to bug me. But overall, both Luke and Han are such great buys.

Thanks Duane. :)

There really is. Its almost like a DX release.

Yes, the guantlets suck. I do plan on making cloth ones once I have the time to work on him. The boots need to be weathered along with the outfit, should he fun.

Just found some fabric that is a pretty good match for the gauntlets - it is around the right light grey and is somewhat coarse almost like scaled down canvas.

The color does seem to vary a bit in the movie, especially Luke's - the gauntlet part varies from a dirty white to a mid grey, so the SSC color is pretty close. They seem to be almost like large gardening gloves and the gauntlets seem to be a part of the glove, not separate even though the color is a little different to the glove segment.

I think the SSC sculpt is too round but I guess they had to accomodate all that parka sleeve.

And I really hate doing irreversible mods on $200 figures, so I'm going cautious on the snow/grime. I'm also doing a very significant redo on the Hasbro Taun (body and head,) so Hoth will be a longer tern project I guess.

The gauntlets are just too big, but as you said its because of the parka. Might have to shorten the sleeves on the parka in order to allow smaller guantlets.

Curious to see some pics of your mod, its going to be a while before I get to work on Solo.

Thanks Tyler. :)
