Painted up some Bith hands for my Sail Barge Weequay. He is left handed just like in the movie. :D

Here is one of Duane's weapons painted up. Primed it in black, drybrushed silver in some areas and then weathered it up with pastels. I then sealed it in dullcoat. Kithaba's weapon is now the proper lengeth. :yess:

Im working on Queequeg's weapon. Its all done, just need to do a body swap so I can get the Bith hands to work.

I started working on my Nikto headgear. I made the helmet base out of leather and painted it grey. I took 3 10/24 nylon Acorn nuts and glued them to the head to act as the "horns". I then took a bathtowel, cut it up and pieced it together to act as the fur.

Here are a couple of pics. Very rough right now, nothing is painted up or finished.

I will add more pics as I add detail. This is the particular Nikto I am doing...

You are one of the masters of clever use of bits. Looks great. Glad I'm not the only one never satisfied with what's supposedly "done" :lol

Chris & the Chaka Factory...... churning out star wars goodness since 2008........:clap

(actually i don't know how long you have been at this stuff so i just went with your join date......:))

Thanks man. I am always on the lookout for random stuff I can use for SWcustoms. yes, I always like going back and "revisiting" things. :)

Thanks man. :) It all started in 2009 when Mark (Dorgs) started me down the dark path of Star Wars customs. Its all his fault! :D

Here is a small update. A base coat of brown on the fur and silver on the horns. I plan on adding a bit more fur to make it more screen accurate. I also am going to do some more detail on the base helmet and repaint it.

These pics are just to give you a feel of what it "can" look like. Hopefully when done it will look okay. :)

SW party at Chaka-dudes!! I'll bring Kool-Aid for the little one and me, everyone else can get lit and perhaps he won't notice a few things missing from the shelf:monkey3 I'm looking at you Yularen!!

I swear Chris, every time you decide to re visit one of your customs they become even more badass that the badassness you had before:wink1:

Based on what I've seen of the bith hands painted for the Weequay customs as of late...Is it me or does anyone else think that they might work decently with Nikto?

Chakaman's ROTJ skiff/palace baddies are my favorites. All of them are spot-on.

And the only minor problem with the Bith hands is that harsh line on the knuckles - very distinctive to the Bith guys. But with some paint, you don't really see it as much.

With their new Weequay figure, Hasbro went with more human like hands with a slight reptile look, along with some larger bumps/"boils" on them.

i want to come to your house...we arent that far apart..im in OK....lol...

:) Where at in Oklahoma? There are quite a few forum members from Oklahoma. I live just outside of Wichita.

Thanks Duane, I appreciate it man. :hi5:

I thought about using the Bith hands and dremmeling down the knuckles. I will figure something out.

Thanks. I agree with you about the Bith hands. I think they may work with some minor modifications to them.
