Chris Benoit and family found dead

I haven't followed WRASSLIN' for awhile but just heard that the Canadian Crippler Chris Benoit was found dead in his home along with his wife and kids (although one report had two of his kids still up in Canada)...

The tragedy associated with wrestlers goes on.

thie sad news comes as a huge shock, I've been watching wrestling off and on for years now. He was one of the best WWE had its very, and to make it worse his family are also gone. Truly a sad day in the world of wrestling.

On that same WWE page right underneath Benoit's picture there's an advertisement for an Undertaker action figure and there's a tombstone that says RIP...

holy *****!!! I never really liked Benoit but I always respected the hell out of him. I've been out of wrestling for a few months but this is indeed a tragic end to a great career and one of the best technical wrestlers that ever lived.

Damn, in GA no less? I wonder what caused it all. Too sad, one of the best and most under rated wrestlers EVER. It's even sadder his wife and son passed too.

Oh man,this is really terrible news. Chris Benoit has always been among my most favorite of wrestlers.He was a true talent in the ring and always a model of pride,strength and intensity in the wrestling world.

God Bless Chris Benoit,his family, and his surviving family and friends. I really hope they get down to the bottom of this.

Update on Chris Benoit

There is very little conclusive regarding the death of Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel.

The three were found dead by the sheriff's department in Peachtree City, GA, after a WWE official had called because they had been unable to reach Chris after numerous attempts.

Lt. Tommy Pope told the Associated Press that it was being investigated as a homicide pending results of a preliminary autopsy report that will come out tomorrow. No gunshot wounds were found.

Just read some news that apparantly Chris Benoit had called in to the WWE on Sunday to say he couldn't wrestle at the WWE PPV "Vengeance" because he,his wife and son were ill and coughing up blood.

The case is being treated as a homicide.

That's terrible news.... Chris was a stand up guy and a real pro. Met him in Japan when I was in the Navy... he visited out base and I will never forget it because he kinda hit on my girlfriend at the time. Pretty hilarious.

It's really too bad, the guy was one of the best out there and even though he wasn't an over the top persona... still had a following. It's sad to hear he's gone, as well as the tragedy including his wife and son....

My initial question to the blood is why not go to the ER right away? I know if it was me and more importantly my family, I'd be in the ER in min! So weird though, hope it all pans out w/o any BS and if someone IS to blame they get caught. It's seriously ruined my whole day. I'll be down about this for a while now, not even just as a fan, but just the whole thing.

Sad sad news. Despite his small stature, he was always one of my favorite. He always reminded me of wolverine, small, stout, strong as hell, and dangerous. RIP man.
