Who the hell even opens "Hello" titled email? That makes no sense to me.

A lot of spam is sent with the Subject Line "HELLO", I never open anything with that subject line and delete it immediately!

Well since Mr Howes refuses to answer any of my emails requesting a refund I figured I would try a different approach and send him a certified letter with signature confirmation.

Guess what I got in the mail today! The certified letter I sent to him stamped "Return to Sender Signature Refused."

I asked the mailmen exactly what that meant and he told me that the recipient (Chris Howes) refused to sign for it so it was returned to me.

The address was correct he just would not sign for it. Guess that about sums up his intentions.......

Unbelievable!!!!!!

I just posted my most recent conversation with Chris in the Maximus thread. I will be posting all updates there from now on, so as not to clog other threads. I have made plans to recover my money should Chris fail to deliver. If anyone else has made the decision to pursue legal avenues to recover their money, please PM me and I will send you a link to the small claims court website for the city where he lives.

Maybe you guys can get ahold of https://www.unscrewedcomic.com/ and let them know what is goin' on.

Although the site was made because of a comicbook person never paid his artists, l am sure people from this site can help those that does not have anythin to do with comics. For instance, the main issue with Shocker Toys were not their comic figures but their GWAR(music band) toys which they never have refunded the ppl who pre-0rder them; the line was never released. Somebody should write an article and send this to that url.

Yes and no. His past record shows Chris eventually comes through. But the way he has been acting lately is unforgivable. That returned letter has got me worried now. If you have to be up to something to refuse a letter right?

I still have faith Chris will come through, but we really shouldn't be left in the dark like this. I mean a simple post here would do wonders. "Sorry guys, I've been backed up lately. Heads are in the mail." Would that not calm people down for a few days at least?

So glad I never ordered anything from this guy. I was suspicious when all of the Chris Howes commission threads suddenly started appearing as if this guy just came out of nowhere and I was like who da hell is dis guy? I've been waiting on my stuff from Les for 2 years but I'm not worried about it because he's a stand up guy but Chris Howes should change his screen name to Chris Crook. The guys over at OSW added up a total of money he has taken in commissions to over $11,000. This guy makes that Melvin Palayo look like a lightweight amateur.

Obviously I have no way of knowing what actually happened, so this isn't meant to prove one way or the other. This is simply a FYI.

What your mailman said isn't entirely correct.

I had a certified letter sent to me from my insurance company one time and it was also labeled "Return to Sender Signature Refused" and sent back to them. Problem: The mailman was so F'n lazy he never actually delivered it. You have to walk up two flights of stairs to reach my front door and apparently that was too much "extra" work for this particular employee. So instead, they kept dropping "Missed You" notices in my mail box. Which coincidently happens to be at ground level.

I kept calling the Post Office and complaining that no one was actually ATTEMPTING to deliver anything to me. Their response was "we'll try again". Well eventually nothing happened and I get a call from my insurance agent essentially saying exactly what you're saying: "Return to Sender Signature Refused". Which is complete BS because I never refused to sign anything. Because I never GOT anything to even have a chance to refuse signing for it.

So just keep that in mind bro. Again, might not apply to this but it's just to let you know.

Under normal circumstances I would give him the benefit of the the doubt but not now. He has outright lied to me on at least 3 occasions telling me he had shipped my stuff only to have nothing arrive after weeks/months of waiting for them to show up.

I have really had it with this clown and am going to do what I can to get my money back......

I haven't seen any posts from the folks that said they were in contact with him with out any problems and were asked to address the refund issues with him. If he holds true to form as soon as they mention refund it will either be totally ignored or all communication with them will suddenly stop......

Only Collector49 has posted that he received a head. The "other batch" that was supposedly shipped 3 weeks ago have not shown up, I think if they had people would be posting that they received them.....

Well I FINALLY got my Joker head in the mail and im really dissapointed. The paint is sloppy and it doesnt fit on my HT figures body. Chris also said there would be extras or something for it being so late and there was nothing. Now he wont return my emails also. Im pretty upset.........
