I still love Chris' House sculpt.

I wonder if I will ever get one :dunno

Glad to see you got yours KBA.

OK....Worm has taken note, King.

KBA=Not a caca!!!!

Finally got a few pics of the River sculpt I received last week. Its brilliant. I just wish it never got to the point where I seriously thought he stole our money. Oh well.

Hope they keep coming in to y'all.

I'd love to have one of those. However, there's no way in hell I'd ever even try to buy one from him since he ignores most emails.

It is good to see folks FINALLY getting their items. However, maybe its just the pics, or the fact the head is unpainted but I don't see River there.
The House cane job is unforgivable. Just terribly done. the cane is nice, butt o send that out to a customer as painted? No way.

I don't think the River sculpt can be criticized at all. IMO its as accurate a sculpt as I've ever seen. Its perfect. I'm a big fan of the show and think its spot on. The profile is great too.

I'm a big fan of the show/film as well. I also liked her in TTSCC. However, as I said, just going by the pix, I don't see Glau in there. Maybe the paint job will bring her out, maybe its just the angles of the photos but, as it is I don't see her.
Will you be painting her or having her done?

Actually I agree that the River sculpt looks totally spot-on. If you can't see Glau there, you're in trouble IMHO.

It's nice that some people are getting stuff that's been done for a long time, but I still want to know what the deal is with the projects that don't have finished (or even started) sculpts.

Seeing as some sculpts are being shipped, I guess the message is they will get done.
How long before they are finished however, is another thing entirely.

I think one thing that might help would be for a list of current works to be maintained in a single thread. Part of the problem with the Howes scenario is that people weren't aware of what else he had on his plate until it all went pear shaped. If a single list for a single customiser was maintained people would be much better placed to assess how reasonable the artist's assessment of turnaround time is. That thread should have minimal comments - link back to individual threads for each project to keep it clean and easy to use.

I started doing this for Z - which helped to set reasonable expectations as to when work may commence. Z is also a great example of how things SHOULD work. He only starts taking payments (and that is a $9 refundable deposit) once he starts on it, then people see a final sculpt BEFORE final payment is made. It also helps that the guy is a machine when it comes to turning out sculpts and is great with communication and updates.

River looks great! I'm glad to see a lot more stuff showing up now. It may not be in order.. but hey, at least it is something.

econd complaint is the charge for international shipping. The postage paid to Canada was $2.01. I have a hard time justifying how I was charged 7$.

In all fairness to Chris the main reason to charge significantly more than face-value postage for international shipments is the time it takes to physically go to a U.S. post office to mail anything other than a letter internationally.

I try to offer everything I sell on eBay to buyers worldwide, but I charge a similar $3+ handling fee for most items. Having been the non-American wanting American goods, I know how irritating it is to see sellers who only ship domestic. At the same time a person's time, in this case extra time, is worth something.
