I was in contact with Arnie Kim while he was doing his amazing 1/4 scale head sculpt. He said that a full statue with cloth costume would cost several thousand dollars. I haven't seen his blog updated with any new pics of the Reeve project for a long time so I'm not sure if he's put the project on hold?

As many have said - this could have and SHOULD have been much better. I don't know why people are saying that the full reveal might improve it. I don't have to wait to see his legs and feet to know whether I'll like it because even if the boots and legs pose are perfect, that upper body and arms pose is awkward, unnatural and not reminiscent of any pose that Reeve did when he played the role.

The costume looks fantastic. Everything else is hugely disappointing.

I was so looking forward to displaying this with the mighty Keaton PF, but man that ridiculous pose just kills it for me. Will wait for further pics.

As for the Arnie Kim sculpt of course it costs a few grand.

Do you guys think the exclusive will have a different headsculpt? or a stupid green cristal?
They should have bought the Arnie Kim sculpt, it was already done with no complaints

Someone suggested a smiling sculpt for the ex which would be great. Some sort of kryptonite ex would be lame but likely.

I actually really want the slapnuts ex.

yep! It has to be a head, what else can you detach from this figure it has a costume all over the body,

It's a bit heartbreaking, to have so much love for this character, and to wish for better than this. Ugh... Don't know what to do.

This definitely is somebody applying a modern lens over a classic 1970s icon. Shoulda been smiling.

IMO, the only thing that can save this is a smiling Reeve COH portrait...even then, that awkward back arch/fist pump is still going to stick out.

I have the comic Supes and MOS on order, just got the Reeve evil Superman Hot Toy. Superman is my favorite character, Reeve is my favorite Superman on screen and I have zero interest in ordering this.

But then, they got this kind of feedback when they teased that video and just ignored it, so we get what we get (for those, Bruce, getting it). I just don't understand how all the great, iconic poses Reeve did as Superman on screen, the art direction chose this.

I am disappoint. Going to slapnuts now.
