The weird thing is the people that don't like this that continue to post in this thread everyday.

I honestly think the reason might be because the majority of the members are more than likely aware that Sideshow reps and note takers frequently patrol these forums. They may never post anything, but they're here...taking notes. I think what it is, is that the more people repeat themselves toward a complaint, the more they prolly hope and pray that minds get changed. Since I've been a member here, the usual has been "Team Yay" Vs "Team Nay"....with all of them trying to sway everyone's minds.

The overwhelming majority thinks this looks horrible, hope you have some confidence left bc odds are good you'll be admitting you're wrong about this SSC disaster as well.

I will ALWAYS have that confidence now. I can and HAVE been wrong. I dare ALL the guys hating this to do the same, if when it comes out they have CHANGED their opinion. This histaria was going on in the Batman PF thread when the first iPhone inhand pics came out. It was the end of the world, and SSC SCREWED EVERYNE. THEN berserkers and rising stars pics came out, and then well, WHERE did the haters go.... They slunk back out of the thread and very few of them had the balls to come out and admit they were wrong. I got that confidence Y4... So if I feel this is a mess then I will say so, and take my lumps. If it looks better then you thought it would can you say the same ... Or will you just sit back and feel like a tool???

The weird thing is the people that don't like this that continue to post in this thread everyday.

Why is that weird? Many have waited YEARS for this piece. Just because they are disappointed, upset, angry, cranky, etc doesn't mean they have no interest in the piece or the discussion about it. The fact that this is CR Superman takes that disappointment to the highest level. Sideshow fanboys trying to put this fire out don't have enough buckets unfortunately.

I DO GET THE COMPLAINTS. It is the entitled part that gets me. Until you ORDER a piece SSC OWES you JACK and ****, and Jack left town. Then they owe you a ice that is as close to the proto as possible, and good customer service to address your complaints THEN. That is IT! This "SSC owes me EXACTLY what I want" mentality reminds me of my 6 year old when he is pitching a fit when he wants a toy in Walmart.

It could have the greatest paint apps every, with the greatest face sculpt ever and I still would not get it because that pose just does not do it for me. So unless SSC revamps the pose I won't be crying.

I don't get why everyone thinks I hate the face sculpt. I don't think I ever bad mouthed it. I did put up the one "zombie" photo but chalked that up to paint and lighting. The I posted the best pic of his face sculpt so far. So I think I have been more then fair.

I know you are joking Spidey and that is cool but I think there have been a few that think I have been dumping on this piece when I have not even come close. I could rip on lots of aspects of this piece. It's an easy target IMO. But there are some fans out there and since I am not getting it I won't just bash on it. But I am disappointed with SSC decision so I am going to make some comments and hope that SSC will make better decisions in the future.

The Only time I will ***** endlessly about a piece is if I am going to get and hope that SSC will change something (Comic Batman and Superman) or if I received an item and it did not come out like it was supposed to (has never happened).

I am being polite here because it was a piece I was very interested in when it was first announced and got excited about the Head sculpt preview. Then the preview came and the full reveal... Many have complained and then there has been the usual dismissive Haters gonna Hate comments. I can't stand when people argue like that. Defend your position rather then dismiss the opinions of others. The old argument, "If you don't like it don't order it and be done".... Is old also. Same could be said for those who like it and do order it.... It's ordered so be done... Never post again.

Fact is this has been a poorly received pre order all around. It's really too bad because there were a lot of people who wanted to get this. SSC would have killed with this release. But someone in production screwed up (I see there is a job opening.... Interesting)

But I honestly really do hope that it kicks *** at SDCC.... I want those who ordered and are on the fence about it to be happy with their purchase. I hope in hand pictures make me say "OH I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED" because I don't wish a bad product on anyone just so I can be right.

I will always state my opinion and I will always defend it. I think people for the most part here have been polite on both sides. Sure there has been some bashing on the piece but that is the name of the game in art. Happens to Comic book artist all the time.... You can even read those comments in the Letters from the fans section in the comics.... Some of those are vicious.

Complaining got a light up feature added to GL correct? The thing most point too as a successful addition. I don't think they will change it, but if nobody is buying they might.

So can I assume Spidey is getting this? I mean it's just as crazy to come on defending a piece that your not getting. Pretty easy to tell others what to do with their money/collections.

I think an awful lot if disappointment comes from those who wanted a CR Superman and simply aren't going to be getting one based on how it came out. Doesn't mean they are not interested in a CR Superman though.

That light up was most likely ALREADY planned, hence why the proto had a stand in hand for the initial PO pics. To answer you question I am not getting this, and neither am I telling anyone how to spend their money. I am just speculating this may really surprise people in the end, and that I will be amused if it does.

If they really wanted to love this piece or if they have wanted it for so long and are utterly disappointed I think they have the right to post in this thread as much as they like. The vast majority of people who dislike this piece have stated their views and gone into detail on why they don't like the piece. There hasn't been that much trolling "this piece sucks, anyone who orders this is stupid" type of things going on here (I'm not saying it hasn't happened at all). But what I have seen is if a person doesn't like the piece and gives reasons why they don't like it they are still being called trolls. This is ridiculous IMO. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion without being a troll.

If it doesn't sell, and people don't say anything, SS will just assume nobody wants a CR Superman PF instead of just THIS CR Superman PF. Plus it's generally fun to talk this stuff. Normally I love just about everything, too much really. I want WAY more than I can afford. Pretty rare for me to dislike a piece this much, especially something I had planned on getting.

Didn't realise this forum was only open for positive opinions.

People who are unhappy with the prototype are as entitled to post their opinion as people who like the product.

I have no interest in DC statues and very little interest in their characters but I am a Sideshow fan. That's why I visit threads about items I have no intention of buying.
It interesting to read different opinions. I keep an eye on products and peoples reaction then when items start shipping I also like to hear opinions on how they turn out.
Quality and comparison to the prototype makes me more confident about the items I am waiting for.
If everything was positive and people weren't allowed to express any concerns we would never get the full picture.

I am a member of Caped Wonder on Facebook and that has the biggest Reeve Superman fans around. They did a poll on who would buy this and so far it's 46 to 2 for those that are not buying it. It's hardly trolling when even Reeve's fans don't like it.

To each their own, but I gotta ask. How many of those guys KNOW how these statues tend to improve when they are seen inhand?? Just asking how familiar they are with these types of collectibles is all. I know NOTHING about the community.

Hmmmm.... The same could be said for the guys who come down on EVERYTHING SSC does. I am an in the middle guy for the most part. The difference with me tends to be, since I was wrong about GL, more cautious abut what I say about a piece. Especially, if I don't like a piece. I LITERALLY stay out of entire threads because I think a piece looks like absolute DOG ****!! Guess I wish more people did so.

I think, given who Chris Reeve was, how many of us grew up with him, and how he died, people are taking this more personally than, say, a Green Lantern piece. There's a lot of emotion surrounding the man, and it's reflected in many posts and opinions here, myself included. This is the very definition of beloved character, which goes beyond mere iconography. I've posted more in this thread than most other threads in this forum, because I too, wanted this badly. I have not ordered, because at this price I refuse to settle.

I hope Sideshow pays very close attention to many of the comments here. They are valid.

Secondly, you keep repeating the term "haters" yet the majority of collector's here who have posted a complaint have done so in a pretty respectful manner. Sure there's been a few jokes or memes posted but that's the internet and why you let this bother you so much is beyond comprehension.

And before you try and deny that it bothers you, it's clear that it does judging by 1) reading your tantrums and 2) your desire to call people names. I'm a "tool"? Grow up kid.

Lastly, if Sideshow does go back and fix this embalmed paint job I'll gladly post here and compliment them. That will never change the fact that this prototype looks awful and has been deemed poor by the majority of collectors so in the end you won't get to scream, "I told you so!" anyway, you still lose.

I don't think I've ever seen you say a nice thing on these forums about any piece. Yet I didn't see you call out ARH for the shoddy sculpt on the slave girl. Now you may have and I missed it but for the most part I see you here giving critism over abd over again. I've even critiqued this piece but some people here take it to another level, then get pissed when they're called on it.
