Mule is right, weight is #2 factor anymore as most of these kinds of packages are DIM weight not actual weight. It was not as big a deal years ago, but all the companies have changed.

As far as I know, dim weight used to never be a factor. Just about everything shipped via ground service, that's under 3 cubic feet, dimensional weight does not become applicable. Example:

Actual weight: 23lbs
Length: 29 inches
Width: 15 inches
Height: 15 inches
Cubic size 29x12x12= 4176 cubic inches
Dimensional weight 4176/166=25 pounds

In a domestic shipment, the cubic size is multiplied by 166. In doing so the dimensional weight is 25 pounds, which is greater than the actual weight. However, because the package is less that 5184 cubic inches, dimension weight is NOT applied. In this particular example like most, the actual BILLABLE weight becomes 23lbs.

I'm not sure about the new rules that are in place, I just know that's how it used to work. if its different now then so be it. I would not be the least bit surprised if every shipment is determined by Dim weight nowadays, just an opportunity for them to make even more money.

I see a few people on the fence with this one waiting the movies release. Three things for you guys, #1 it's a Terminator endoskeleton - either way it's going to be Badass! and I think Chronicle has the stuff to made this a great piece. #2 Limited run item – 500 pieces worldwide. Don't miss the boat! Lastly, Pre-order before July 12th for the limited-time price of $500 plus shipping - you have to pay $600 after this I believe plus s&h.

Just my input. I mean i'm also going to be picking up the next T-800 Sideshow Maquette from T-2 but that's a different thread.

I grabbed mine at Secret Compass in hopes of saving a few bucks, you guys can get it there still i believe.

Yup. Got to avoid those taxes. :) :hi5:

I was. Early reviews, as expected, are not good.

I don't want to look at my awesome statue only to see the 'GENISYS' nameplate and think :yuck

I know what you mean. I hope the movies at least "ok". And that puking emoticon always makes me laugh. :lol

I can rationalize that stance. However people buy statues for different reasons. Some like the genre, some like the art and some like the specific movie and the sense of connection a statue brings with it. Arnold's in this movie, that's a win-win for me. I love the piece and have been a Terminator fan since childhood. I will go see this at the theaters, 3D IMAX for sure. For me it's about the genre, the art and even if the movie sucks it will have redeeming qualities for me given it's reminiscent of my childhood affinity for the Terminator universe. I guess it's all about perspective.

I honestly don't care if the movie sucks (it most likely will) this is a great looking statue of a Legacy Endo. The base plaque is inoffensive and doesn't really detract too much. Even if it's the worst movie ever, it won't make this statue look any less cool.

On these kind of figures, base doesn't count.
I can't stress enough how awesome it is that this 500ES perfect replica of the Legacy Endo is coming out at 500$ when the half assed 2000ES Sideshow maquette was 550$ ten years ago. Base is completely secondary, if the plaque is so much of an issue, pick some plain black cloth, poke an hole through it and place it to cover the base, then fit the Endo in it.

Doubt anyone wants an endo walking on cloth, but should not be hard to stick something over just the nameplate or even just "genisys" if you so desire. I will probably leave mine alone, but like you said it should not stop anyone from picking this up.

This piece will be resin, diecast and abs. The eyes will light and thet battery compartment will be in his back cut along existing lines in the sculpture.

It's a $600 statue does that really matter? ;) All jokes aside, first thing I do is bin those cheapo Chinese batteries anyway, had a few leak now so learned the hard way... Duracell it is.

Yeah it matters. Better not to include them :clap :lol
I've had some leaks too :slap
