One is the sample, which looks good, the other two were 'randomly' pulled for comparison.
Doubt #1 is random and #161 looks bad although it was undoubtedly one of the better ones they found.
Would hate to see the worst one they came across.

None of those are the same

This surprises you regarding hand painted statues? They will be similar, but there will always be variation. Clearly the sample is easily the best by a long way, but I don't think the others are terrible personally. If I can find one for a decent price, I'll grab one.

As much as they tout their QC? :lol

I agree they make too many promises and claims that don't help their cause at times, nor do I like seeing producers put down others work as has been done on occasion. But as factory paint apps go, these aren't disasters. Maybe I view these differently as I haven't waited excitedly for them for months, nor have I paid a penny towards one. I'm sure if it was a Xeno or Predator I'd be harder on them. But I actually quite want one of these tbh...

I think these photos do show better than what we've seen up until now. Nothing is ever like the prototype or sample. The dots aren't great still, but the overall product isn't really that far off from what we'd see from other companies I think.

He said the CC staff was repainting the statues before taking photos. I don't think he was the only one to say it though. Just the last one to get notice.

Lots of people said lots worse than I did,I don't care.Auf Wiedersehen Paul.:wave

I read through it, but it really wasn't that bad

Yeah. I've seen worse on this forum even. It takes thick skin to do like you said, and be the public face. This is not a business to expect people to just love everything and look past faults, real or imagined. You put your best work out there, and it will get picked apart by people with hundreds of dollars worth of skin in it. They're going to seem more like investors than collectors until the piece is on their shelf. That's just the way the game goes down.

They posted photos that put the product in a better light IMO, from what we can see. I can't imagine Sideshow taking photos of the finished product to address forum/customer concerns. I give them kudos for that.
