Small T Rex on hold now. Basically I see that as Paul thinking 'if it looks this bad at this scale, imagine it the paint job on an even smaller version'

Those steggo's they posted with the breakout rex on FB, I can't tell the difference between the three. CC done that one up right. Great looking piece.

Really? I see differences. The green paint is darker on the numbered pieces, the paint detailing around the tail is different and there are differences in the paint around the eyes. Still a beautiful statue, but. To me, there are variations in the paint on the Stego just like on the Rex.

I saw those pics. To be honest I am pretty underwhelmed. The black spots so many were concerned about don't look as pronounced as what we've seen so far but they still could have been handled better. It isn't a bad looking statue but it just isn't worth my $500. I cancelled my order. Frankly I am relieved to no longer have to worry about this piece.

It looks very nice, his does at least. The dots were painted corrrectly on his. His looks like the sample from the CC post, best one yet IMO.

My impression too. Much closer to the sample than any other so far. I hope his is not just one of the good ones, of which there are not many.

Clearly more than one color, just seems lacking the wash to make the details pop better.

This is my first and only statue to date. Ordered and paid in December. The in-hand pics so far hasn't been promising, but having gotten this from CC themselves, with their QC checking claims, I'm still hopeful.

What's your thought on it thus far? Have you received your shipping invoice?

Don't think I will, but should I ever want to - will canceling this lose me money if I'm not interested in any of their other pieces?

Is it just me or do the pics posted today on SF demonstrate the same paint issues everyone has been talking about for the past couple of weeks? Because to me they are as present as ever. I know I cancelled my order and therefore no longer have a horse in this race, but I had to ask for the sake of my own sanity. Everyone over there is talking about how "good" it looks. Again, statue doesn't look "bad" per se but the statue in today's pics looks exactly the same as the "problematic" pieces shown before. Anyway, had to get that off my chest.

I was able to see Frobay's but not Chrisrex's statue. Each side of Frobay's looks completely different and displays the same poor paint application we've seen so far. The only reason why everyone is saying it looks good is because no one is left but CC apologists - they've banned almost everyone who has expressed criticism.
