Smoked for a couple of years then quit cold turkey. I had to give up drinking too for a few months since I would smoke when I drank. Quit smoking pot a few months ago too.

Throw a little ketchup on there, maybe a little hot sauce, it looks delicious

Men who don't smoke taste better! :)

This is true, according to my woman.

3.5 yrs cig free now. Time flies!

Quit smoking pot a few months ago too.

Good for you. Pot is actually more mental than i thought it would be. Have not touched the stuff in about 8 months...Don't really want to either. In the words of George Carlin.. "Pot lets you know when it's time to quit" :)

Just ripped up my final pack before I go to bed! I have been taking Chantix and I hope it helps. I will look for the Freaks for support. We will see!

Well on 4/16/07 I quit and was smoke free for just about 2 years. Then like a dumb ass I let lifes situations get the better of me and started again.

On Saturday the 6th I had my last cigarette (again). So here we go all over. God I now remember why I said when I quit the first time I would never smoke again. I feel like absolute ____. I feel sick to my stomach and my nerves are through the roof. But I know the worst will be over in a few days.

This time I decided I am mentally strong enough to just quit. No drugs, no replacement therapy, nadda. So here I go!

My goal is this. Every year my company sponsers the Jingle Bell Run in my area. It is for the arthritis foundation. It's a 5k and I plan on running. The event is on December 11th and I plan to start running again on Sunday. I have been hiking all over the place to prepare myself for this.

I will post updates as I progress. Updating you guys really helped the last time with getting things off my chest and all of that.

Are you still a ragging alcoholic?

Side note, I am coming up on 1 year smoke free end of December :rock

Badmoon - Good luck with the quitting this time. For me...it was easier to quit each time I did, but it was also easier to start back up. And I know what you mean with letting life's BS get you back in to it. I quit smoking 12 years ago in January (except for about 5 or 6 cigarettes since then) and just recently I was nearly driven back to smoking.

And to both of you...what is wrong with drunk posting? I do it. Of couse, you wouldn't know it because they all get deleted.:monkey3

:)

i smoked since i was 15 yrs old and quit at about 32 so ive been smoke free for over 3 yrs now and evry time i try and light one up just for kicks i get really sick and dizzy and sometimes get a headache. it was really easy for me as i quit cold turkey and didnt feel the urge to have a smoke so yeah, for me it was fairly easy. good luck BM!!

First, CONGRATS to all that have quit! :yess:

I just quit for a 2nd time as well, back in August. It was a pain in the a$$ to quit a 2nd time! Much harder than the first.

Good luck Moon! You can do it this time for good....all of us can!
