Does anyone know the preorder policy?
Easy pass. For that money I'll get a few more accurate Stormtrooper and Imperials buckets. CM's are cool, but quite overpriced for what they really are plus 3 CM's = 1:1 SS Endo statue
Does the company selling this offer like payment plans like flex pay
Yea and in another thread it states how inaccurate the stormtroopers are. Geeeesh just say it costs to much and the leg is stopping you from purchasing it...or sometimes we simply don't have the *(robert deniro) to purchase it.
Face the facts you are not going to get a thing that's completely accurate
*CASH
First: If I have the cash or not, and what I do with it, is not other people's business, just to be clear on this.Yea and in another thread it states how inaccurate the stormtroopers are. For the price of this you could almost get a 1:1 Vader on mannequin.
...plus I have the helmets, and the efx ones coming and a lifesize - the imperfect, but now very rare Rubies/ Michael Burnett one (and mine is technically "screen used" -- albeit in the cheesy flick Benchwarmers - NOT Star Wars =P)
I have one of the Rubies/Burnett life-size Vader statues as well. I've been toying around with the idea of getting a proper, screen accurate Vader commissioned by someone on the RPF(if I could even find someone to do it), but I'm not sure if I want to go through the hassle of trying to sell my current statue and get a new one. Even though the Rubies/Vader is not screen accurate, it's a licensed and numbered piece so it should always have at least some value to SW collectors.
I wouldn't touch the face at all (though I've seen a few that were warped)
Just replace the lenses and dome and grill and it'd be perfect...
The Dome is held on via a wingnut (don't be confused by the resin or whatever it is that's in there holding the parts together) the wingnut is underneath the crown of the head and you have to be careful about rmoving it so you don't drop it into the statue.
THen reshape his arms and see if you can fit a leather suit over him -- and replace the proper parts...
right about the fact that its a rare piece -- many have been damaged in homes stores etc -- even the one at disney went the way of month old wonder bread --
there are very very few left in great condition - even fewer on the market
Or 2000 Cheeseburgers.
First: If I have the cash or not, and what I do with it, is not other people's business, just to be clear on this.
Second: since this is a discussion forum we can talk about the accuracy of items and such. Otherwise the CM would have looked like before and no improvement. If some people don't like forums/discussion boards they could simply leave, and also if some people like everything the companies throw out, then more power to them, that's exactly the customers they want.
Third: I am getting things that are going to be more accurate and I'm talking about 1:1 stuff.
Fourth: My general focus are OT Imperials and specific focus are Stormtroopers. That could explain something too
Nothing of this take away from the big price of this statue. For the price of this you could almost get a 1:1 Vader on mannequin.
Bravo!!!
Yeah you could get a Vader on a mannequin, but personally, I like my pieces to be officially licensed - I don't want bootlegs...
If one comes out, I'll gladly grab it,
but as a collector of Vader stuff, things like lifesize versus smaller scale aren't substitutes, they're complements. And they all add to my Collection.
Not long ago I thought exactly like you, but I opened my eyes. I have to thank a few guys for this epiphany, but now I won't underestimate the fan made products anymore, in fact some of them I'll consider above the licensed items.
Something just looks off with this piece...
