its in 1:3 scale i see. i thought it was a 12 inch figure

No, these Cinemaquette statues are more like 24-26" tall or something in that range. Big bucks, too, as Capt. Jack is going to sell for around $1800 I believe.

I'm really wondering about those pics. If that is indeed the production version, it looks like CM has another Aragorn on their hands.

Disappointed!!! Hope those aren't production pics. Those dreads suck too.

If i spent $1500 and got that, I would return him instantly and get my money back. Crapidy McCrap Crap Smabadoo

Glad to see I'm not the only one hugely disappointed by these pics. I had such high hopes for this piece, but now I am very cautious about what the final product might actually look like. There's still hope that it will come out looking like the prototype, but if those magazine pics are the real deal.......well, I just saved a boatload of cash.

Look, I know you're all spending a lot of money on this piece so you're all very attatched to it, and I do agree that as a bunch of collectibles the Cinemaquette stuff is simply fabulous. Their stuff looks amazing.

I really hope I'm wrong. I hope they fix the hair, and I do hope for you all that was all that was making it look like a stranger dressed up as Jack Sparrow... because at the moment it isn't Jonny Depp. It could just be the hair and makeup... things like that really can make a difference. They might have just dressed the hair wrong (we all remember their Aragorn.... which had a fabulous sculpt... but the hair threw it off)

but I guess it's the artist in me, I can't have people say it's perfect., and that it's the best Depp likeness ever... because as it stands? it just isnt. The picture below looks infinitly more like Depp... and this was done in 1/6 scale! (sorry about the number of pics, they all came together and I didn't have time to edit them)

But listen... i do hope your statue comes out as amazing as you all think it is. I know if i was spending that much money on something (I wish) I'd want it to be perfect too.

OMFG! NOW WHERE CAN I GET THAT DOLL?!?!

I'm thinking those bad pics of CM Sparrow are very early proto pics from over 1 year go.

If not, I guess I saved some money to buy other things.

I agree. Their site pics usually don't differ from the final product whether it's good or bad...Aragorn is a good example.

they're custom sculpts done by the Korean sculptor 'Kojun'. He does very limited edition things, and judging by his talent and fame within the 1/6 sculpting world I'd imagine very expensive too, I doubt they're available anymore though.

Didn't someone around here pay like over $1000 for one of his custom Anakin Skywalker figures? I'd imagine a Capt. Jack would be even pricier as it's much more detailed than his Ani.

That Kojun Sparrow face is definitely better! But the Cinamaquette still looks awesome! However, I will temper my enthusiasm towards buying the Cinamaquette until I see some actual pictures in collectors hands. That's a lot of money to be spending before being absolutely sure the end product is anything less that stellar. Plus I still have my NECA Epic Scale Smiling Jack. :rock
