:lol I don't care if you don't like Indy. What I do care about is you taking personal jabs at me. I told you to piss off because of that very reason. I only threw back the same attitude and aggression you gave me. So sorry that being told to piss off hurts your feelings but when you told me to take English lessons I definitely thought you were a HUGE A$$. :)
Well then I do apologise Mr Roranous.Did'nt really mean it as a personal dig.Hope we can friends as I am not an A$$ especially a HUGE one.:rotfl

We need to step back and keep the personal flames away from this thread. Art is subjective after all.

:lol OK. I accept the apology and I am sorry as well. I get vicious sometimes...like a Rorosaurus Rex.

Let that show you all that Roranous does not like his English questioned. :lol

I can't, I am always on fire.

As a huge Jack Sparrow fan, I would have definitely considered purchasing this piece if he had his coat and hat. I would have also liked a DMC or AWE version with all the little trinkets (shrunken head, vertebrae, chicken foot, second belt, etc.) that he added for those films. Too bad, I guess. Can't have every wish fulfilled.

CM says Jack isn't going to come with the hat and coat because he spends the majority of the film without them. I haven't seen the first film in a while, so I really don't remember.

It's true. He spends the majority of the time without said items. I still love the look with them on though.:monkey2

This will be my ultimate.

Even though he spends the majority of the films without them, the hat at least is an important part of his character.

I'm sure there are plenty of rules that can apply here...Art is subjective....Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... One man's trash is another man's treasure and so on and so on.

I think price becomes an issue for sure, as does paint apps, headsculpt, expression, scale, etc. Add in the fact that so many figures look different in picture than they do in person. That's probably just a few reasons why we are so divided.

Jack Sparrow and Indy are 2 of my favorite characters and I own custom figures of each in 1/6 scale and own multiple headsculpts of each. I consider them to be comparable to another favorite character "Luke Skywalker". Of course Luke is another hit or miss classic. To me, my 2 favorite Luke sculpts are the 1/4 ANH sculpt of Luke (which the paint apps are what hurts it's likeness) and the ANH Luke bust in 1/6 from Gentle Giant.

My Personal Opinions:

CM Jack - The paint & detail is amazing! The likeness is definitely there, my only problem with it from the pics is that the shape of the head seems to be quite a bit off. For that price, I feel any complaint is valid.

CM Indy - I don't see this as the best Ford likeness (again, judging from pics). I also feel like the facial hair comes across as being oversized and odd looking. I still think the 1:6 scale Ford heads from Frontline & Arnie Kim are more interesting.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own both of them!

It certainly is remarkable, the temple area is slightly wide, but it is about as good as these things get.

I am not the biggest fan of the hair though, but dreads on such a scale might not have been practical.

He does need his hat though.

WOW! Only thing that bugs me is he cheekbones are missing and that gives him the "chubby cheek" look. From the side it seems awkward, but from head on that's amazing! Really creepy overall how well it looks though.

Uh oh, don't get too excited yet. These new pics just surfaced at Statue Forum from a Japanese magazine and they're not nearly as accurate. If this is indeed the finished product, the CM Jack Sparrow just went from "must have" to "no thanks". :(

WOW! That looks like Rambo meets Jack Sparrow or something, man for those who are getting this piece and psyched about it, I sure hope those aren't real images, yikes.
