Not to mention KB couldn't keep up with other retailers when it came to video games. Even though they aren't that profitable.

your right, and they decided to carry older games that didnt sell...I told my boss nobody wants these older games..the customer wants whats current...but he is a "yes" man and did not listen

Sorry you are losing your job Teemu.

KBs made a lot of bad choices. Heck, they completely got out of the video game business a few years ago and then jumped right back in without changing their gameplan. I don't know who ran that company but they had been making OBVIOUSLY bad choices for a long time.

your not kidding.....bad choices for years....truth of the matter is...we sold junk...many collectors left...we carried crap that wasnt in demand...which I knew it was gonna be the eventual nail in the coffin....thanks bro

The store here didnt really have the good deals that I expected. Tvs were crazy expensive still. There was even a spot on the local news talking about there not being any good deals compared to places like Amazon. I figured Id stop by once a week and see whats going down.

Went to my CC today--20% off Blu-ray titles compared to the 30-35% at Amazon. I was ready to spend some money but not a single movie I wanted was cheaper than Amazon, even at liquidation prices, so I went home empty handed.

I ran into CC to grab a flash drive 'cause it's closer to my house.

Even while 'going under' their prices were so much higher that I wished I'd driven the extra miles to Best Buy...

From what I understand, when stores are going out of business they first increase prices a lot and then slowly bring them down. They're trying to make as much money as possible.

Wait til March. The real bargains will be found then when they HAVE to get rid of everything.

I get all my DVD's at Amazon. Just bought "Six Feet under" seasons 1-5 for $60. Todays deal of the day.

for the CC liquidation, you have about 3 weeks to wait before the good sales start to happen. Liquidation company raises all their prices, and removes the price tags so you don't know what they used to be. But once prices get to 50-60% off, better buy what you really want, because it wont be there much longer. Last weekend the store is opening it's 70-80%, and the very last day, it's 80-90%. By that time, about 75% of the store will be cleared and everything bunched together. They sell their fixtures, shelves, and cables too.

Amazon is the only place I could find "Moonlight". Every place else was backordered. And it was cheaper too.
