Fine by me..........the original black costume was awesome. If Spidey is going to have a tough time ahead, then the change to this costume would be appropriate...................it is the black suit..............it's sweeeeeeeeeeeeet..........

Just a matter of hours now until Civil War #4 hits the stands.:chew :chew

Anyone else as pumped as I am?:banana :banana :banana

im excited for #4. friend and I have a bet on whoever thor's going to waste. but knowing this, they are probably not going to go down that arc. going to comic store near school after I'm done to pick it up.

If the early reviews are true, I am a little upset with the way a few things panned out............have to wait and see for sure.............

Come on fellas, I haven't read a single Civil War title but I'm relying on this thread for updates. Someone post what happens! :rock

Ditto...please update.

It has it's main Secret War type title, but with tie-in's in all of the big Marvel comics much like House of M. I was on to my way to my shop to pick it up, but they closed early!!!!! So I guess I'll be getting mine tomorrow. First thoughts from someone who has it please!!! (with spoiler warnings:D )

Spoilers ahead......................

WTF!!! So Thor was a clone after all, a ruthless clone so to speak!! He killed Goliath. That was just harsh, I thought. If I read correctly, Stark and Richards are building an army of super clones like Thor. That's crazy! Also, Sue and Johnny Storm changed sides after Goliath's death (Sue Storm also saved Caps side as they were all about to be annhilated by Thor with a super shield). Caps team also loses a couple of members. Ironman's team is hiring ruthless villains from the past to hunt down Caps team, with the help of the Thunderbolts. The way things turned out is not what I expected, but I hope it'll get better with Spidy changing sides too. He was pretty taken aback by the death started to question whether he was on the right side.

Really? I thought House of M wasn't too bad. My only beef with civil war is that after #3, schedule of releases isn't keeping up. :( That just means I have to wait longer to see Thor put a lightning bolt through someone's chest. Any mark my words, spider-man will turn on iron man before the end.

HAHAHAHA. I told you. I KNEW spiderman was going to change sides. Didn't see Thor being a clone coming. Wow, and that's the way goliath died too. I must be pyshic.

More spoilers from Civil War #4 and Wolverine #46

1. The Thor that has shown back up is a clone. Reed Richards and Hank Pym were the doctors that used hair that Iron Man had from "The Thor".

2. Mjolnir is a mechanical copy.

3. Clone Thor kills Goliath with a lightning bolt through the chest.

4. Sue Richards saves all of Cap's people with a force field and then deflects to Captain America's side.

5. Johnny Storm follows Sue

6. Nighthawk, Stature's and Cable deflect to Iron Man's side.

7. Venom, Taskmaster, Bullseye, Lady Deathstrike, Jack O’Lantern, Songbird, and The Jester are the new Thunderbolts woking for Iron Man's side.

8. This group of Thunderbolts have nanobot in them to help keep them on the "good guy's" side. This team is set up to hunt down Cap's group.

9. Cap and the rest of his group have remorse over Goliath biting the dust.

10. Spider-Man is beginning to wonder if he is on the right side.

Wolverine 46 came out as well and is a Civil War tie-in.

1. In #45, Wolverine tracked down Nitro, the guy responsible for Stamford incident that ignited Civil War, so to speak.

2. Namor the Submariner, showed up wanting to take Nitro to Atlantis.

3. Wolverine stabs Namor, Namor clobbers Wolverine saying he has the right to kill Nitro cause he killed his neice or cousin or whatever she is.

4. Wolverine borrows one of Iron Man's suits and goes down to get Nitro cause he must pay and he promised to keep Nitro safe and see that he pays for his crimes.

5. After Nitro tries to escape Atlantis by killing a few Atlantean's, Wolverine cuts off his arm and says that he does not have a right compared to Namor, so he leaves Nitro with Namor.

6. The psychics are able to peel a name from Nitro as to who supplied him with the mutant growth hormone, which amps powers of super people, allowing Nitro to do his power as strong as it was in Stamford.

7. Jump to issue #46 and Wolverine is tracking down Damage Control. They are the group that supplied Nitro with the MGH.

8. Damage Control, Inc is a publicly traded company that is in Risk Management and damage clean-up. When a super hero knocks down a building, this company cleans it up. They work with the government.

9. Their CEO supposidly set up Nitro with the MGH, so that the company can make more money through the government, to clean up the mess.

10. It looks loke DC, Inc. has salvaged some of the left over Stark battle suits from some other wreckage sites. They refitted one with an adamantium saw blade, and the issue ends with the possiblity of Wolvie having his head chopped off.

So at the end of CW 4, it is clearly established that Mr. Fantastic, Yellow Jacket, and Iron Man are now the villains. They are using villains against the Secret Avengers.

I don't buy that Sue Storm would leave her husband and children to join Cap.
But this could push Reed Richards to the other side. I can't imagine that he can fight his wife and brother-in-law. Certainly, Ben Grimm will put a stop to it.

At this point, I think Iron man's group is in serious trouble. Also, if you are reading Fantastic Four, you know Thor will be back soon and he won't be happy about his clone killing Goliath. So I think this Thor cloning thing will be Iron Man's downfall.

I can't wait to see Thor, Hulk, and Hercules giving Iron Man the smackdown.

I am a little tired of seeing Iron Man winning all the time. I would like to see his armor beaten off of him and being humbled in front of Captain America.

First off, thanks for the update Mithrandier. I try to keep up with everything, but there's just too much. But this is the problem, nobody is reall the bad guy. Both sides think they are doing right. Which is what makes this story arc so huge and so important. I had a feeling Thor wasn't the real Thor in CW #3, when they kept calling him Project Lightning. Doesn't sound very Thorish. But I totally saw spider-man starting to change sides before #4. Hope he changed and takes on venom...great fight ahead if he does. Iron Man is really starting to tick me off, and the real Thor needs to come back and hit him in the face with his hammer.

I just finished #4 and my jaw is still touching the ground. Even though I thought it was gonna be Goliath dying and Thor clone, the whole ski mask and supervillian team took me by surprise. And although it was inevitable, the scene with Sue switching sides really impacted me. I thought it was another great issue and can't wait to see next months!!! Also, does anyone know when the next variant issue cover is gonna be announced?
