If Thor sticks that hammer anywhere threw Iron Man, you know its just going to end up being an empty suit on autopilot or remote control. They can't kill Stark off... yet. They still have 3 more core issues of Civil War after 4 comes out. I think either Cap America or Iron Man (or both) should die in the end to make this event very meaningful.

Quick question on the Civil War. First of all how many have been released thus far. Number two is, to catch on to the story do you need to know what was going on prior to this comic series. IE what was going on in iron mans comic prior or FF? I haven't read a comic in ages but reading the posts in here has me intrigued. Which is bad, because then I will probably buy statues, so feel free to not answer this post

3 outta 7 of the main series have been released so far. But many of the side series have been released. You can go here: https://www.comixfan.com/xfan/ and read some small summaries of what has happened week by week. Under Comixfan Furums, Comixfan Discussions, Comixfan Features: there are threads titled Civil War Journal Week #??...........the latest is week number 14. This will help give you an idea of what is going on in each book.

I think Marvel is trying to tie in the comics with Spiderman 3 the movie.
Most people who will watch Spiderman 3 is not aware of the symbiote costume's original in Secret Wars.
It would make sense for the comic to tie in with the movie. The end of Civil War would be a few months from the release of Spiderman 3.
