Nice job there joel, great expression in that sculpt:)
Hope you all had a good christmas and heres hoping for a better new year;)

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Finally completed a Marlon Brando! I had to choose between A Streetcar Named Desire or On The Waterfront and ended up going with the Streetcar look! Went for what I guess you could call Battle Damaged? :lol ... with the ripped and sweat stained white T-Shirt! Took time to get it looking right but I am pretty much done with it now! Very happy with how my head sculpt came out!

Hey Joel,

Well, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I am really impressed with what you did here with Marlon! It has gotten my creative juices going...I'm going to try something a little different. I don't know if it will work, but stay tuned...

Btw, I'm not used to the new look of the forum yet...

I'm surprised I could even find this thread today with all the changes :yess: Nice work on the Brando custom Joel :)

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Haha, it is quite the change right DA? Thanks mate! :yess:

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

For those who did not see my thread of this, Elvis Presley is done minus it having no shoes as of yet! Original early 1950's look with custom blazer!

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

I have not found any yet mate! Looking for those loafer style ones, maybe some re-painted Michael Jackson one's would do it?

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Hey Joel,

As I mentioned earlier, your Brando is so impressive to me. I don't have the talent to sculpt like you do, so my thoughts led me to take a different direction ( I think it's turning out ok so far...). I would love thoughts on this though...

I took my hot toys 50s Brando sculpt, recast it, and I've started to adjust it for an "On the Waterfront" look. I don't know if I will end up going that direction or with "Streetcar". I want to go with OTW but it depends on whether I can locate a jacket. Here he is so far:

Holy crap, that is gonna be awesome Geromino. Excited to see that finished man.

Joel, I think you might be on to something with the MJ shoes.

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Hey Geronimo! Is that the Hot Toys Head Sculpt you are re-doing mate? The likeness is even better without paint and I love the adjustment on the eyes! Really got that On The Waterfront look to it! D'you reckon you culd cast out another, would love to re-sculpt one myself! But yours will look very impressive I am sure, are you going to change the hair to the OTW look? Yeah! Either jackets are very hard to find in 1/6th scale by the looks of things! Keep us updated on you re-sculpt though mate, very good indeed!

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Yeah! I agree mate. I think it could give the look for the shoes too mate!

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Yes, I can cast one up for you no problem. I'm not a pro at casting. It took me several tries to get the one I'm using. I'll pm you in a day or so..

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Thanks ever so much mate, yeah! Just let me know the details! I prefer it with no Hot Toys paint and you re-sculpted eyes! Superb.

Thanks DA...! I know that you have a great eye for detail (Joel, you too!)

I'm curious on what direction I'm going to go...I found a great sleeveless t shirt that would look good for "Streetcar":

1/6 Magic Cube MC Toys Accessory Set - Men Khaki Vest

I've also asked someone if they could recreate the checkered jacked in "OTW"

Let's see...

Joel, what body did you use because it's perfect..!

I really do want a OTW custom too, but the jackets where the problem! I wanted to do the end scene windbreaker styled jacket with the big fut collar but nothing like it nor the check one! I have actually seen that jacket before! Pretty cool that they re made it, another company did a similar thing with James Dean's ranchers coat from Giant! The figure body I used are actually a really decent price! They are the HitFigure ones over on eBay! I think they are also a perfect fitting for Marlon Brando! I think I my do some re-sculpting to just a few parts on my Streetcar Brando but would love a OTW Brando too! Looking forward to yours too mate! Nice! I am tempted on asking the person who made my Elvis blazer weather they could do the end scene OTW jacket if I can get the head and re-sculpt it! I never realised how good it was.
