I like the weathered, Medieval finish to his armor, plus it distinguishes it a bit from Vader's smooth, pristine look, even though it's a foreshadowing.
I'm not really a fan of Anakin's (or Obiwan's) Clone Wars chest armor, but this is a great looking figure. It's too bad the velcro is glued to the outfit, I would have liked to just take off the armor.
Great selection of shots for this one, Josh...I know they're from the Con, but I half-expected to see the doily there in them!
I really like the look of this figure....I just hope that it's close to what the production one will be...especiall the hair color/tones and the great work on the outfit.
This one and Rex will do it for figures from CW for me...
You know, seeing this figure reminds me of another LFL slip. In the original Clone Wars series, Anakin never had the Ep3 gauntlet until the last episode, basically putting it on for the start of ROTS, before that he wore identical gloves on both hands.
Good point, but since this figure is kind of a hybrid of both of those "looks" for Anakin...it looks all right. Plus, that gauntlet is kind of a "signature" piece of Anakin's attire and pulls together his "look"...
Oh it's nothing against the figure, it's a great translation of the cartoon costume, it's more a rip on the CW makers and LFL for slipping on that detail in the show.
I really think I'm going to end up getting Asohka just for the Rota backpack if they make her and she includes it.
I am going to somehow contrive to get Rotta, and he will find his way next to my Jabba. I know he's not OT, but I feel like I need to unite them. He's so friggin cute! Looks kind of like a pug, actually.
didn't notice the velcro til now. i hope that isn't on the final figure. what if you wanna remove the armor? sideshow is slipping if that is the route they take. why don't they just hide magnets under the fabric?
