Height wasn't the issue. It was volume. Indy seems to fall short of full 1:6 scale. Even Clone Obi-wan looked diminutive next to Holliday. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I guess it wouldn't even be that much of a stretch for Sideshow to "buff up" the Pro, would it? If Medicom can do it with their cheapassed bodies, I don't see why it'd be so difficult for SS to. Hell, they can just do what Medi did, create new arms and legs and just get a piece that fits right over the top of the torso to buff it out.

I think SSC would do well with a "buff" upperbody. Roadblock would be a great figure.

The thing i dont understand about SS is there crapy chose of fabrics.
Eh, I like some variety in my builds, as long as they're not rediculously off...like Medicom Vader and whatnot.
Remember, Darth Vader is on is own unique body, so Sideshow isn't against making new bodies where necessary. And I imagine if we see shirtless guys like Gung Ho they will use something similar to HT's rubber muscle bodies.

Anyways, I'm NOt a big fan of cobra commanders overcoat. It's kinda cool, but he needs a silvered dome, and a Huge hat ( like Van helsing) to pull off the trenchcoat look.
If you get the reference, You win the interwebs.
Personaly, I'm going to take the old hasbro GI joe 1/6 cobra commander boots, which have a circular cobra emblem on the bottom of them, and make a cast of the emblem. take this cast, and make a mold, so i can produce circular cobra emblems, and get some nice cape material, like the one in the takara batman cape thread, and some gld chain, and make him a good, draping cloak based on the design on this hasbro figure.
I've always prefered the "evil dictator" look for him. IT just kinda fits. I may take the head of the newer 1/6 one, and make him a nice chrome dome as well.
Yeah, it's not that great, but I prefer the chrome faceplate to the hoooded look, and it'll be nice to have the option to swap. Like I said, not great, but better than not having it at all imo.

Old Snake would be a good exclusive for he 3 3/4" line. 
As for Alaya, she really doesn't look that bad. She does have some clothing, but someone with a bare chest like Gung Ho or Hellboy would need the rubber muscle body, which HT did for their Hellboy. Sideshow's was the shirted version so they didn't have to worry about it.

While visually appealing as far as keeping the overall look accurate (which I'll give HT an A+ for), HotToy's rubber suits sucks. Not only do they severely hinder poseability but the elbows look unnatural when posed (swing over and look at the Dutch pics), they're dust magnets, there's the nightmare of maintenance and the ever present potential of it decaying (which still seems to be a random issue). HT seemed to pull off the Predators nicely and they have plastic bodies. I'd rather see Sideshow attempt something along those lines.

I was hoping we'd get both... but I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they revisit CC and give him the dome.
That is of course as long as the line doesn't tank like LOTR.
They could always do a SDCC or site exclusive to get the Silver dome look.

I doubt the joe line will tank. at the very least, we're getting AWESOME accessories that 1/6 military guys are planning to buy the figure just for the gear. Go read over on osw, as much as they hate snake eyes, they all seem to want to buy the figure for his gear, and sell the body.
that alone, i think will keep this line going.
added thought, also I think I probobly will get the hasblow one for now, and re-paint the dome with a chrome spray, or something simular after re-casting it. If sideshow makes an official one later, hells yeah, but if not, then I've got mine
