Meh. Jacket or cape--I wouldn't mind either b/c they both can be removed. I think the jacket looks good--especially when comparing it with the artwork. I'll probably display him without it, but it's a nice option to have. A cape would be cool, especially with the cane--but capes are easy to make, so I think out of the box I'd rather have the tailoring of the jacket.
 
mine will be here on tuesday. I'm eagerly looking forward to him.
First thing I'm gonna do is take his shirt to the fabric store, and find a nice blue spandex to use as a cape material :)
 
Got the Dear Commander today and I love him. A very well done figure. No problems with putting the magazines into the pouches like Snake Eyes. I just wish there was another holster or somewhere to put the laser pistol and/or machine gun. I love the exclusive cane. It really adds to the figure and is one of those must-have exclusives. And I really prefer him with the coat on. He seems more menacing with it, and the shoulder pads are not at all bad in person. In fact mine came from the package really flattened so they look quite good.

And the head came out really well. The proto had a lot of detailing in the face/eyes - almost too much. But I think they've taken sculpt softening into account on the proto sculpts so the final production figures end up softer, and better looking in this case than the proto. The production figure at least looks younger than the prototype :lol
 
I'm lovin' all the good reports for CC. Makes the wait til Monday even longer though. I've got a narrow shouldered TT that I'm gonna try mine on although he's looking just fine on the Pro.
 
Yeah, he seems just fine on the pro. The jacket definately hides any issues anybody should have with the narrow shoulders. and all of the joints seem nice and tight.

There is a random paint slop here and there, but very minor and in unseen areas (like a slight silver brushing on the back of the knife's sheath). Nothing too bad. Certainly nit picky stuff is all. I'll try to get a pic or two up sometime tomorrow.

I have a strange argue to make him a victim though. He just seems like the type of figure that needs a dead body at his feet. Either a gunshot to the head or a slit throat or something. Very Resolute like I guess. Not a guy I'd want to cross anyway.

That would be the special backpack that some "fans" complain about on the 82/83 figure.
