One is practical and makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. The other's a candy, coated cash-in that doesn't even really look like he belongs.

Now, because the way Josh goes on, and possibly (as he did last time) pigeonhole everyone into an all or nothing label, I'll clarify. That doesn't mean he's not a good figure. He is. It just means that in the popular opinion, he's just not Cobra Commander and doesn't belong in the collection.

Do you read 99% of your babble on this board? You're way worse than I have ever been about pigeonholing everyone into anything. Though, I would disagree that I've done this much at all ever one this board. Never been all or nothing about anything in my life. There's always grey in every area. I wouldn't say in popular opinion though he doesn't belong as I wouldn't take whats said here as the gospal on anything or what folks in general think. We make up a small portion of the community.

If you liked it cool. If you didn't like it, you didn't buy it and that's cool too. It would probably help if CCC haters quit insulting fans of it in every topic, and if CCC fans would post that discussion in the CCC thread.

To the original poster who brought it up, CCC is not anything like the COBRA Sniper, there's no comparison to be made.

Neither had previous history in GI Joe mythos. I always thought if Cobra had a Sniper he would be more unique like Firefly or Gi Joe's Lowlight, not a Cobra Trooper dressed in black.

Edit: Cobra does or did have a sniper, Blackout.

I did read your post, but CCC is popping up in EVERY topic. Not your fault, but I was addressing your point simply, because as you can see, this led to fans bickering about CCC in the Sniper thread.

A more thorough explanation:

Sniper is accepted by most because he looks cool and has gear to give your trooper the classic look. Some people were pissed when this was announced because it's another Cobra Trooper and no Joe.

CCC is accepted by few here, because CC is an important iconic character and he is too far from his original look.
