In fairness, non-exclusives on eBay have sold closer to around $110. Slightly less than Sideshow's "retail" value, and probably less than their shipping would cost. Of course, you would have to wait and lose SS's customer support by waiting for deals on eBay.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I think the Flint exclusive is essential, for instance, but could care less if I get the wacky IED with Firefly or not. So, I will get one, but won't lose any sleep over missing the other.

I know that some here are certifiable OCD when it comes to getting "exclusives," which is fine, but I'm not that way.

Nunchuks are essential for Storm Shadow, however.

I don't see how. I get exclusives when I feel they are essential for the character or toy/statue, not for the simple reason that they are exclusives. Getting an extra head on a PF that I will never pose? Not that important for me personally, but some will buy an exclusive and never even take it out of the package, as they are compelled to do so just for the sake of having the exclusive.

I'm not knocking anyone who does that, btw, OCD behavior is an intrinsic part of collecting, IMO, but if you had to put people on a scale, I think I would be further from the extreme than lots of others in terms of feeling compelled to buy something just because it is an exclusive.

The way I see it, so long as the exclusive is "semi" appealing, the money you will save by getting all the trooper variants from other sources can be used to splurge for the Ex releases.

Thats how I am now. If its an Ex that I think is worth getting I'll grab it. If its something I can pass on or might never use I'll do that and pass. I base it all on figure to figure.
