No guys, what I paid for it isn't the point. The first one I got was PERFECT. So why should I accept this crap when I paid the same price for a PERFECT, 100% complete one? Had the first one come like this, that is one thing, but since the first one was just fine, there is no reason why I should have expected anything different.
And its not like it was a missing grenade or something. It was his BIG machine gun! He might as well have been missing his head! And the packaging was clearly torn open. These things are easy to open up and reseal without any damage to the packaging, but there is a big gaping rip on the side there. Any half asleep teenager should have seen that!

I got my order today. Unfortunately Im missing 1 of 2 Troopers. The shipping invoice said 2 troopers in package. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting my money back. The prices are not so great when you dont get the item.

Why don't you just pass it along to one of the people who missed out? I'm sure they'd give you more than what you paid for it. Seems like you didn't even want them anyway since you're selling your other one.

Yea missing the gun sucks, but like the others said, for the price they are still keepers. Pawn it off to a board member.

From what I understand you are not always going to get all the figures you ordered in one delivery since hastings ships from different stores. Some people get half there order at a time.

Yup, most of these items are pulled off the store shelves. Customers touched them, opened them, licked them, dropped em on the floor ect.

I still don't see why you guys are siding with Hastings. It shouldn't matter what I paid for this item. They sent me a damaged an incomplete item when it was sold as new. My original plan was to part one out and keep the other. Of course I parted out my first one.
Nor am I going to pay the same price for an incomplete figure as I am for a complete on. Good prices doesn't mean we should put up with that crap!

Bud, I feel for ya. Nobody's defending Hastings. But sometimes you just gotta weigh your options. Yeah, you got ____ed because you didn't get a whole trooper for $26
. Seriously though, you're always telling the guys in the horror threads who cry about overspray on a 1:1 bust and get refunded that it's the best a company can do. In this case, Hastings will refund your measly $26. Which, let's be honest, is more than right on their part. What you need to do is some serious soul searching. Principle would tell you to go right ahead, but common sense says, take it and pick up the weapon through TA. The whole trooper would still only cost you $46 which is a blinding discount compared to the $90 he's selling at full retail.

It is crap. Call and complain and hopefully they'll reimburse you part of the purchase price. I think what some, myself included, are saying is even with the damaged box and AK missing $26.00 is still a steal in every way. Does that mean you should just be satisfied? Hell no. So call and complain and let us know what happens.
This is true, but the invoice on the box the trooper came in says 2 troopers. I ordered an officer also and that was shipped seperately, and the invoice in that package says 1 officer. So they either F'ed up and who ever packaged it made a mistake, or they knew they had over sold it and figure Id be happy with 1 trooper instead of none. Since the price was so cheap, I dont mind missing the trooper as long as I get my money back.
I know what you are saying Nam, I really do. But you are being blinded by the good price on him. They still sent me a clearly tampered with figure. I mean would you pay $50 for a PF only to open it and find no base? Even Doom without his throne woudln't be worth that.
And I certainly am not sending him back. They can either partially refund me, replace the gun, or replace the entire figure (which they would need to send first, I'm not falling for the out of stock gimmick).

Er, you can replace a 1/6 scale gun easier than a PF base. And yeah, I would buy a PF sans base for $50 any day of the week, so long as I can prop him up somehow. I wouldn't expect a partial refund or replacement from Hastings, either. Having dealt with their customer service before, your options are probably going to be return the whole thing for refund or nothing.
If this was $100+, I could get what you are saying, but you really can't treat this like it is an expensive item because it is so damn cheap. This is the price of 2 freakin' DCUC figures! For a Sideshow GI Joe figure!
