Super Freak
I know what you are saying Nam, I really do. But you are being blinded by the good price on him. They still sent me a clearly tampered with figure. I mean would you pay $50 for a PF only to open it and find no base? Even Doom without his throne woudln't be worth that.
And I certainly am not sending him back. They can either partially refund me, replace the gun, or replace the entire figure (which they would need to send first, I'm not falling for the out of stock gimmick).
Let's put it this way, I wouldn't pay $50 for a PF missing a stand (ridiculous example btw), but I would GLADLY pay you $30 for that incomplete Cobra Trooper. Does that make sense? I'm not blinded by price, moreso, you're being blinded by principle. As for the choice, I really do hope you get your replacement. But who's in the wrong if the company requests that if you're not fully satisfied, to send the item back for a full refund and you don't? Sure it's their error, but at that point, it would be your (for lack of a better word - especially because I know you're not) selfishness. If you bought pants from Macy's at a sale price and they had a rip, you'd either be able to exchange them for another pair and if that's not an option, get a refund. Hastings shouldn't be held to a different standard just because you want a complete cobra trooper for a ridiculously low sale price.
