You could just retort the question by asking her if she's one of those girls that have 20 purses, 50 pairs of shoes, 4 makeup bags, and still needs to go to the mall to see what's on sale.

If you have da muzzle, it won't matter...

Start pwning, take names, collect and rule da world... everything else just falls in place.

You do know a muzzle usually goes over an animal's face..... unless you spell like a 10-year-old punk. You a 10-year-old punk... PUNK?! "pwning and rule da world"?! That kind of babbling talk would make Dirty Harry very angry. :nana

Anyway, if a woman can't accept you for your ****, then she isn't worth the time. Speaking of ****, I need to drop one right now.

I've been with my prize wife for 13 years. Married for 3 and she is currently pregnant with my first child, due in 1 month. Obviously I'm no virgin.

She considers my Ms Marvel PF, She-Hulk EX PF, Wonder Woman DC Direct Museum statue hers. She can't wait for the Poison Ivy PF. She encouraged me to get the Enterbay 1/4 scale Joker and ARH 1/4 Leonidas statue. She also encouraged me to go to IKEA last week to get my besta, glass doors and LED lights.

I have a great career as an IT Security Analyst. She encouraged me while I worked ****ty jobs and went to school at night. I'm obviously no looser either.

I used to compete in Strongman and Powerlifting competitions and I still lift regularily. She would attend and film all my competitions.

I play video games and when I do, she occasionally brings me a sandwich or something to drink. If she feels she needs some attention, she will ask me politely and I'll be glad to take a break and do something else with her.

If your significant other cannot respect what you like and give you space to do it then you are not meant to be together. This is an immature relationship. You will eventually resent them for holding you back. This of course needs to be within reason... if you blow all your savings on statues, I wouldn't blame your significant other for leaving you.

It works both ways too. You need to be just as cool with them. A relationship should not be a prison. If it is, you'll wake up one day and realize you are bitter with a mid-life crisis.

My advice, don't bother dating anyone who cannot love and respect you for who you are and what you like. If they laugh at you and your hobbies, tell them to get out and find their own ride home.

:lol:lol:lol

...........wait...what am I getting pwned for again?

being a-dev in ireland.

Gospel, Harry would agree.

However you want to use "da muzzle", :lecture.

I have had all good experiences had my own bachelor pad (check out the stud) and brought back two ladies and we recreated the bateman threesome scene and the dolls did'nt seem to bother them at all:)

Anyway back to reality:)
I think it all depends on you and your taste in women.
Most people will show an interest even if it's not their thing.
My partner thought when I told her I collected "aliens" she thought of the big eyed inflatable ones you get at hemp shops and the beach.
She was a bit wary when she first came to my flat and was a bit ill at ease with some of them and asked me to turn them away as she felt the eyes followed her about, especially ben grimm for some reason:)
She now shows an interest and even helps me out with dying and sewing clothing items.
That girl you talked about in the first post sounds like a byatch big time, shoulda kicked her out never mind taking her home disrespectfull or what?

Oh ok, now some serious advice, more or less this girl is around the same age as you correct? https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4859624#post4859624 Well then, I seriously doubt any girl in their early 20's is going to look at your collection and respect it for what it is... IMO, I believe it's a full circle of evolving. Or better yet a line from Scarface, once you get $$$ then you get the power, in this case once you get the girl then she won't really care about your collection and respect it because she respects you. It's just a young age IMO where people judge each and are not comfortable in "who they really are", or "who cares what others think or judge". There's a point in time in everyone's life where you just don't care what others think and you do what makes you happy. I'm sure it's one of those judging deals "one of those guys", which by her words she is judging you and not really giving you a fair shake.

She's probably not the right one regardless, plenty of time, someone will understand and respect it... Until then just have fun and hang loose because I'm sure this will happen several times in life and I wouldn't put much thought into it and just continue doing what you like to do with this hobby and for yourself.

The best there is EVAAAAAAAAAAAA, like me or hate me, it's me.

You can always jerk off, but you can't always dress your gf up like your favorite cult character and put her in a glass cabinet. :lecture

Sounds like she totally buys into the 40year old virgin stereotype

I'm serious about "da muzzle", can't be more serious about pwning.

If I was in Ireland right now A-Dev would get pwned, if he thought he didn't get pwned the first time, he'd get pwned once again...until the lesson was learn-ed-t :/.

that really happened, Im not making it up, I liked her,
not only was she pretty but she was nice and funny, we were getting along really well,
one look at my facebook pics and she stopped messaging me cold turkey, it was like she found out I was in jail or something, she reacted worst like she found out I Was into drugs or stealing or something,
she didn't want to hurt my feelings by deleting me, but that was over.

the same thing happened to me with an ex girlfriend, but she didn't take it that far,
the first time she came to my house the first thing she asked was "How much do you spend on these "things"
she tolerate it my collection only because I kept telling her that I would buy and sell some of the toys, (which it is true, I have bought and sold a fair amount of things, sold my Spawn 12 inch collection, some of my marvel stuff"
but the only reason she didn't freak out was because she thought it was a business thing, she thought I had an ebay store :rotfl

I try to keep the collection clean and focused, and usually incorporate my figures with my bar, so if they have good taste they usually shut the **** up after seeing a Butcher Bill figure next to a bottle of 23yr Pappy Van Winkle.

Don't decorate your place like a Toys R Us, and you probably won't get a negative reaction. Just keep out a few choice pieces, nicely displayed.

This also goes for statue collectors. Just because they're made of resin doesn't mean a houseful of superheroes isn't just as potentially offputting to women.

Investing in proper display cabinets goes a long way. It should remain in one room preferably too.

And keep the dolls out of your bedroom, I only have art prints and a few choice prop replicas in my bedroom, and keep a detolf with my figures in the other room. Now that I'm in the process of moving into the city with my friends though, I don't have that option so my figure collections been cut down to a few old school cult characters, Alex Delarge, Travis Bickle, Jack Torrance. If she see's Jack holding a real metal axe and calls him a doll I know she ain't gonna work.
