Sean long ( the guy with the thundercats toys & hot toys collection) said the whole thing is fake and staged. The girl friend is a huge toy collector too. In fact all the toys that you see in the show arent just his but a mix of his and his girl friends toys( on the show they make it seem like it is all his and she wants them out)

Here's the video

are they even allowed to do this?
won't they get in trouble with Sci Fi channel for spilling the beans?

Agreed, I think something like this could if the focus was more on being responsible about collecting and keeping it in balance. In some if the stories it dies appear that there is a legitimate issue beyond a healthy hobby. But like all pop psychology all that happens is a quick and obviously inneffective bandaid.

Not to mention the therapist on most of these shows are ineffectual at best and often times do more damage than good. But I guess anyone who would agree to engage in a therapeutic relationship for entertainment is suspect to begin with.

i wish the show was more like a home makeover format and they would help them with display options. maybe narrow certain sections to a specific license or type collectible whatever. that might help to weed out something that just doesn't fit in anymore & help offset costs of new cabinets, shelves etc.
though i don't really see syfy investing lots of cash to do that. but........i think that format would be more entertaining.

I wish the show was like that as well, Yeah sure sell some stuff,

but Elyse says "Oh Im just here to help you Organize your collection and display it better"

Bullpoop! she does not do that at all, even if this show is fake, I Wish they at least gave them 5 minutes to organize everything better

So was he there just to promote his stupid toy reviews?
The guy with the toy business from the last episode, whose friend ratted him out came out to say they were just there to promote their online store.
Sean's girlfriend isn't hot she has worse acne than a 12 year old going through puberty.

Santa Claus is not real!!!!!!!!!!

Ski

C'mon man... there are spoiler tags for a reason.

Yeah, something like this could be cool. But "reality" TV is so invested in creating fake drama that they'd prefer to stage something lame like this rather than try to have an actual show about collectors needing to reorganize.

I understand some aspects of shows like this are and will be staged, but this one sounds like almost everything about it is.

:exactly::dunno Like a contract they sign or something.

I'm sure it only limits them until the show's airing.

She has big boobs, a vajayjay (I think), and likes Hot Toys. That's enough for these maternal basement dwellers to fall in love.

:rotfl Damn... harsh!

:rotfl Damn... harsh!

It's not harsh.
It's people portraying themselves one way just to get on TV.
Yeah I know it's not the first time, but to show her as some one who wanted the collection gone, but in real life she's a collector herself makes her worse than a hypocrite.
She'll sell out just to get on TV?
I noticed not even the staff of the SyFy channel could cover the horrible cheeseburger festering on her face!
Maybe the cast of Face Off could help her out!

So I take it you have the hots for her.

so this is how the houses of Hot Toys collectors look like? is this how they look like? because you always see pics of the hot toys stuff in shelves looking all nice,

but then you never see the rest of the houses in the pics in here...

They could have easily made the show about the couple and their collection with a friend or parent stepping in to intervene. It was a missed opportunity from the producers as i can guarantee we will see another "disgruntled wife/gf" episode.
